Another red line

January 13, 2023 by jude

I choose red, again. Red line. Edge. Halfway around.  About one hour’s worth. Just  about. Just to say.  The stories are mostly here on the blog. My current teaching/explaining is mostly in the Forever Zone.  I will take a few days/tries to shift my video approach and try to get it to where I can continue there with ease.  New spot, new editor, old tripod, sky lighting, new mood. And a simplified,  to the point, approach. Shorts. Easier. Just showing. When needed. […]

old heart new heart

August 11, 2022 by jude

This Old Heart Been calling this that. I added circles.  A basket.  I stitched them with Deb’s thread, the one I call sketchy thread,  mostly whiteish with some dirty grey marks. I remember asking here about black and whiteish, if she could do that. And she did.  Using one strand, on this scale,  a lot like a drawn line.  Line, another subject to be revisited. I thought I might be done, but then SUNflower popped back up, because it is […]

Forever

June 7, 2022 by jude

Walking through the forest yesterday, suited up to battle ticks and flying things.  It’s been humid and wet, less human friendly lately. The paths are overgrown, the green is thick, and the water that spills through the stone wall to the adjoining property,  it is indeed forming  a pond-like environment. I am going to ask the neighbors to stop riding through on their ATV, an arrangement we made during winter, with my permission, to give the boy an activity […]

Coming Around

August 12, 2021 by jude

Humid, way hot,  yet turning.  The light begins to seep through the tired foliage.  We are opening to autumn. I am back to the circle that I drew on Grow,  tracing the edge of the round glass table it sits on.  Maybe it just defined my current reach.  Now red, like a ring of fire.

Always Reconsider

July 9, 2021 by jude

Never be too sure.  The ability to change your mind is a never ending opportunity to learn.  Especially from each other.   Fencing for the garden.  That I had decided not to do. For now, I need to stay off my feet.  The garden will wait.   So I continued stitching this leaf  to celebrate growth. And to what I learn at every turn. I had two small slices, not quite halves, of circles leftover from something else… folded the edge of […]
