Wood chips. There is no denying that May keeps me outside. The mountain of chips seems to be endless. I even like it as a landscaping element. I have used them to start some paths into the wooded areas as well as fill in the the garden walkways. I left another planting strip near the fence which has given me tons more room and a built in trellis. Grapes have been planted on the side that will not throw shade […]
May or an Impression of May… in early morning light. Over a cloth called Heal. How one just fits to the other. How one thing becomes another through pairing. Pairings. Each giving something to New Form. I know it is spring, I have my first poison ivy. And today I consider more seriously leaving the metaverse, a big step to somewhere else. It is warm and sunny and I am going outside to plant more morning glories. Maybe build a […]
She fell down in the rain. Face down in the dirt. I picked her up, washed her off and let her continue. A new addition to the garden. Moved from the porch. I am going to put some solar lights in there at night. Mullein is lifting off. Lavendar is refreshing. I have just started some sage seeds. it is still cold but not too cold. Just Floating in a Deep Pool of Thought today. I renamed this small cloth… […]
This tree fell before we moved here. There were many. Some closer to the house, which we cut and split and burned. All fell during Hurricane Sandy years back, according to neighbors. But this one, fallen across the wall that separates one lot from another. This one stays. A fox lives in there, and it is beautiful , each year, more moss. I sit here a lot. I am looking for some green velvet, I know it is in one […]
Hello! The critter guard is up. Was a lot of work but work is good for you. And the daffys, all that I planted scattered through woods, they came up and the the deer don’t like them. Each year I will broaden the circle. Plant them along the paths. This starry moss is everywhere. There is no new clothwork here today, but I have picked the cloth I call Grow, to be the large cloth to continue with for this […]
Feeling it. Feeling grateful. This is my spot. Good enough. Even though it is also the living room. A living studio then. Camera set up forever. Back to growing new eyes. And the scallion is my teacher. Rise up. Probably a good way to change one’s perspective. Also washing the windows might help. I have changed the format here, (what else is new?) the blog is out front. To the Zoners: An email went out this morning . To test […]
Yesterday I made a new path. Through the wild growth and through my tangled mind. I noticed the Japanese Maple is turning. Today there is a soft drizzle. Dark but light enough to sit near the big window and stitch on Heal. I added this final patch. I will quilt this now. Until it seems like enough. I’ll try anyway. I’ll be back when I get there.
