The Going Continues

February 22, 2022 by jude

This is interesting isn’t it? This picture of bird tracks on the deck, markings on a thin layer of snow.  (we definitely learn about layers from nature, this thought,  just another layer,  maybe the nature of thought itself)  How those tracks crossover the “built” lines of the structure. The contrast of goings.  The drawing here revised a bit from an earlier drawing as I tried to put my goings in perspective.  The path  surrounded, maybe becoming ,more of a tangle, […]

February Tangle

February 21, 2022 by jude

February can be so many things. It is my year marker and that has come to mean such different things in my older age. I had a swell birthday, but fell under the weather a bit yesterday. I think just the result of too much of everything in these last days.  There is always so much in a day, so much more than can even be recorded.  But then, much of it does get recorded if I just keep going, […]

Head in the Clouds

February 17, 2022 by jude

The snow melted.  Some warm days. Another winter storm on the way for the weekend. I was born in a snowstorm.  Ok. It’s February. Until it isn’t. Clouds.  Because I have been playing with them, and I suppose, then, I have been thinking about them.  Or is it the other way around? More of a figurative shape for a loose patch, as opposed to the more basic shapes I work with. But then, clouds, they don’t really have a shape.  […]

A most impressive Moon

February 16, 2022 by jude

suddenly It was like the moon and the cloth had an arrangement. I can feel it.  Even coming.. I always feel it. The Full Moon. I couldn’t sleep. My whole body feels it.  Like a wild ache. That is more like a whole body vibration. A buzz almost. Does that happen to you? It’s not exactly comfortable. I am working to secure a thread between the Spirit Cloth Blog and this Feel Free blog and the Forever Zone. Letting […]

A bit More Heart

February 15, 2022 by jude

This heart, from way back, I found it because I was looking through the old advanced cloth weaving class which was never released beyond being the original workshop. There were reasons.  But I like how this technique begins to cross over into painting here.  And looking back, I did not see that then. Not how I see it now. Yesterday was Valentine’s Day. Not a big day for me.  Us.  As a holiday. And as I was browsing through what […]

Hello not spring…

February 13, 2022 by jude

February’s Mood So Really.  Here we are again. They predicted a flurry but NOT.  I stitched this stray self base last night but this morning, the face (need to talk more about faces) and the snow moon. It’s ok, I need a couple of days to rearrange the furniture a bit, set up a place to do some video.   The stray cat thing, I wonder why I use cats so much, maybe I know them after so many years.  I […]

February Thaw

February 11, 2022 by jude

It’s early February and after a February-like January, we seem to be warming up like a January thaw. It’s a sloppy spongy mess but it is an awakening all the same. Everything that knows how to sing seems to be singing, even me. This is  a blog style post.  It comes to you the same way, by email. But it will be listed separately in the sidebar on the site itself, under Feel Free Blog as opposed to Feel […]

The lighter side of me

August 20, 2021 by jude

The romantic, optimistic part of me comes from my Mom.  She was the  happy, Winnie the Poo, Pie in the Sky person in the room.   Always reminding me that everything is going to be all right, that folks are basically good, that tomorrow is another day.  Probably I didn’t really buy a lot of what she was selling all the time, but seriously,  Pie Eyes can make the difference in a day sometimes.  Good medicine.   And my ,my, could she […]
