A place for fire

Now that the fire inside has been rekindled, time to move along.

The dyepots...

They have been outside since I moved here.  The enamel pot holds the walnut brew. The stainless steel pot is an old indigo vat I brought from the old house.

I'm thinking a lot about dyeing How much dyed cloth I already have here. I think I will sort through and see.  I probably don't need to dye right now. But I would definitely like to do some plant dyeing here, just to document the place. And what grows here.

This is the firepit that was here.  This place was rented as an Airbnb before I moved in.  Looks like there were some campfire type activities.  But I think this might be my next outdoor project.   Lots of rock here, I will work on a nice fire pit,  maybe a rocket stove too. It's not necessary to dye outside, I have the woodstove and a regular stove, but it is a nice option. And then... it is barbecue season.

The Dye Po(e)t by the way, the old copper pot, is being useful holding kindling by the wood stove for now.  Waiting patiently for another reason to make cloth beautiful.

NOTE to Members of the Not Forever Zone:

I have begun sorting through and loading the old videos  pertaining to edge to the Zone page for Edge.  Click this moon thingie, then the moon thingie on the index page and that will take you to where the videos are being loaded.  ( it'll take me a while, I am reviewing them first) You can always find them again by using the Glossary (Spirit Cloth Language) in the zone or searching for edge.

Your “shop” was full of so many treasures. Even when you aren’t feeling good I can see you use cloth to carry you through. So good to hear your re-energized voice!

  2. Jude~ So happy to hear you sounding back to yourself. Outside again…a good thing to be appreciated. Your pots are very cool just on their own. Our old Iron pot J. found in the hills did not make the move. I am sorry about that some days. xo

  3. Pigments and dyeing…it’s become so much about story, time and location for me. It’s something that I know I’ll continue for those reasons. It’s going to be hot today so I am starting a new indigo fructose vat. Last years looks really murky but maybe salvageable.

Love an out door space to relax, listen to the birds, & dabble in writing, reading, drawing or sewing!
    Enjoy your outdoor place.

Wonderful to hear your voice! You sound great. I can detect a “spring” in your voice! Slow and steady!!! Don’t Push.
