Home again in so many ways…

November 12, 2022 by jude

You know you are home when you can be yourself. I slept well.  That has not been happening too often.  Things become a pattern, especially when you worry about them.  You know what I mean.  Trying to sleep well or trying to be happy, that doesn’t work.   It’s early morning, And I love this photo. Where I left off last night.  I wore myself out imagining peace, brushed my teeth, went to bed and woke up just before dawn.

Cooler

September 14, 2022 by jude

I can say we got enough rain. It is cool and damp  and these are new to me.  New is good at the moment, I have slipped into a strange kind of boredom. It took months but the porch ceiling is finally painted,  we don’t care about fancy or neat, could have left the plywood bare,  but this makes it lighter, softly.  It was hard work at our age, gosh I can feel it.  Tape comes off later today. I […]

Amost June, on the porch

May 31, 2022 by jude

Being outside, I love how light becomes so much of a component of working,  and looking, and thought catching.  Later in the day the thinness and the sun’s movement revealed the 9.

SUN day

May 29, 2022 by jude

The rain finally subsided. It’s been days. I spent some time finishing up some mending that I probably started a year ago.  I have no pants left to wear, holes are not good,  it is a mosquito party right now. As you can see, light.  I am going to cover/ wrap really,  these chairs,  with some old clothwork.  The man made this table base years ago, it has wheels on the legs.  The glass came from some old table in […]

Today Again

May 27, 2022 by jude

Hello. Pinhead.  How I feel sometimes when I cannot understand. It is raining a lot and nothing is leaking.  And there are gutters, leading the water to the garden.  I need to rig up a rain barrel as well.  A dark day yet light enough for stitching, reading, drawing, even growing.  We will paint the ceiling white.  This weekend.  I think we can sleep out here now.  There are 3 large skylights. Enough light on the darkest of days, not […]

Emergence

May 19, 2022 by jude

Wood chips.  There is no denying that  May keeps me outside. The mountain of chips seems to be endless.  I even like it as a landscaping element.  I have used them to start some paths into the wooded areas as well as fill in the the garden walkways. I left another planting strip near the fence which has given me tons more room and a built in trellis.  Grapes have been planted on the side that will not throw shade […]

Just Here

April 18, 2022 by jude

This old 80’s house is so funny I am starting to love it.   Love takes time. All I can say is I am here and it’s cold and it is ok. Consider this part of the real series. Crooked and all. Just to be here, that is all. Thanks for enjoying  the cat rabbit thing yesterday. That’s one of my loose patch catchers on the wall. More about that later.
