how it might continue

March 8, 2023 by jude

Going might transform this cabin thing. As a  less obvious cabin. As a more obvious holding.  A frame.  And just a path to building something. indigo magic Indigo is magic. practice What if inbetween is more important than we think? What’s the rush? A More Ancient Light. That’s what came to mind.     (I whisper a lot in the morning, the Man here sleeps in, perhaps that is how cloth whispering evolved, ha!)

March could be for Holding

March 1, 2023 by jude

March.  Named after Mars, the God of War. I think we need a new name. Go. I will call it Go. Named after no God.  Just Going. last cabin Double Running stitch ? hold Jahcardz stitch it Wrap Stitch So Ok , talking a lot today. For a break from typing.   Problems with a carpal tunnel  thing that has worked itself up to my shoulder.  Doctor’s advice?  Stay off the computer and lay off the sewing.  Note to self.   Yeah, […]

Wondering through the worlds

February 27, 2023 by jude

Framing a Story I wanted to talk more about this one while I was working on it but there were a lot of other things floating around.  Mostly in my head.  I think they are the kinds of things that mostly get processed while you sleep. But I didn’t. Sleep. A little bit about the overlapping field, here.

The way it might go and go

February 22, 2023 by jude

As imagined, back here, making that small cabin bigger in some different way… There were, already, 5 scraps “cabined” together.  That left 4.  OK. Perfect. A frame, cabin style.  As opposed to my regular Frame of mind method. Like this. Framing is so interesting.  Sometimes we do it without thinking about it as part of composition. This seems a good time to open a link to one of the posts I did in Small Cloth.  Little Windows. cabin framing

loose cabins

February 18, 2023 by jude

There was a bit of continuing. And there will be a bit more, until I have Nine.  These, in concept,  being my basic 9 patch log cabin blocks, built around the loose dyed patches that have accumulated here.  Now thinking I might dye some teenier versions, like the little red heart I tried a few months back,  about 1/2″ across, thinking then it was a bit too small, but not now. The small heart cabin  needs 4 more scraps.  I […]

Control

July 29, 2022 by jude

Be in it. The haven I created here is not just for chipmunks. All of it,  just is here within view.  More life.  As it is and will be. Earth Weeps.  Under the needle.  Weaving on my mind.  Because weaving is a special kind of holding and a special kind of reminder.

Just Birds

May 7, 2022 by jude

This is Woody. We met on the first day here. These two doves do everything together. Maybe I should rename this blog Spirit Birds. I am boiling up the black walnuts today. They have been soaking since last fall.  Frozen on and off for months, thawed and smelling spicy.  The dyepo(e)ts stay out on the porch most of the time. Gotta move them anyway.  We need an outside fire pit.   Should think about that again. But, in terms of frame,  […]

Leaning into the Day

August 17, 2021 by jude

I like this double form.  The double wishing star.  I am thinking it might work for many things,  a compound nested symbol. Something framed by itself.  It gives the form a kind of depth. Perspective. Personal symbols are a picture language and life is complicated.

A Frame for no Reason

July 29, 2021 by jude

From another season…Building a blue frame then…reasoning I love that reason rhymes with season. How season might even be a good reason. Today I will begin a fast. Claim her own Wisdom, as grace mentioned in her latest post, which I cannot seem to comment on… Hi Grace! Brings me back to what we know from experience.  Wisdom, which is knowledge, but a knowing framed only by a life lived.  Ginger Lemon  Water, the beginning, in an attempt to purge […]
