The porch repair has changed the view, from outside, there is more through. The gutter has made a big change in the erosion. The flowers I did not plant always surprise me the most. The new eyes I am planting on the cloth I call Grow, they form so slowly. Just wait, I mumble to myself. The actual garden has far outpaced the one I imagine myself to be. Tomatoes do well here. I planted some seeds. Plants have popped […]
Wood chips. There is no denying that May keeps me outside. The mountain of chips seems to be endless. I even like it as a landscaping element. I have used them to start some paths into the wooded areas as well as fill in the the garden walkways. I left another planting strip near the fence which has given me tons more room and a built in trellis. Grapes have been planted on the side that will not throw shade […]
Hello! The critter guard is up. Was a lot of work but work is good for you. And the daffys, all that I planted scattered through woods, they came up and the the deer don’t like them. Each year I will broaden the circle. Plant them along the paths. This starry moss is everywhere. There is no new clothwork here today, but I have picked the cloth I call Grow, to be the large cloth to continue with for this […]
Feeling it. Feeling grateful. This is my spot. Good enough. Even though it is also the living room. A living studio then. Camera set up forever. Back to growing new eyes. And the scallion is my teacher. Rise up. Probably a good way to change one’s perspective. Also washing the windows might help. I have changed the format here, (what else is new?) the blog is out front. To the Zoners: An email went out this morning . To test […]
I am happy to see so many bees. I look forward to next year’s garden now that I am a bit more familiar with what will grow here. Rain barrels are the next project. And maybe an ark… just sayin’… The red line is drawn. Stitched. Pressed into the cloth, It seems the beginning of a basket. I sense so many here already. And the line came through. I had spread it on the floor, to look. Covered in cat […]
Humid, way hot, yet turning. The light begins to seep through the tired foliage. We are opening to autumn. I am back to the circle that I drew on Grow, tracing the edge of the round glass table it sits on. Maybe it just defined my current reach. Now red, like a ring of fire.
G. G is for green and yes there is more and more Green. And G is for Gross, the humidity and heat that is. But G is also, suddenly, for Goodness Gracious, Love in the Mist comes in colors! Grow is on the table. I am not measuring, just eyeballing, and now drawing a circle. The circle is drawn. measure G is for the page I made for Grow that needs attention. And G is for the Glossary I added […]
