We are expecting another round of torrential rain here this weekend, so I am finishing the wood stacking among other things, so we needn't go out. Just to say that these white wood asters, a native pollinator in these parts has taken hold here. They literally bloom in the darkest places, light in the dark. I did not know what they were till now, they spread under the deck and I always pulled them, not realizing what they were because they bloom so late in the season. This year I let everything be. Wow, they are everywhere.
Grow. Still at it. Slowly, the ring of magic. Thinking to myself how a circle always creates a field of focus.
Have a good weekend.

The white wood aster are de-light-ful! Definitely spots of light in these dreary days…
and the bees love them
little white stars . . . all for free !
light and dark petals , your nine patch stretched out along the line
Yes and yes!
What a lovely delicate flower. And is that a magic 8 ball petal?! (top center in first photo)
it’s actually a print that is like a seed in a fruit, looks like an 8 turned sideways. using what I have, ha!
Well, I love it and magic 8 balls!
The Magic is Strong ✨🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍✨
So GREAT!!! 🤩
I am just enthralled by this Spirit Cloth, Jude!!!
(& send some of that rain our way….in a drought here. Sigh)
sure wish I could, we are floating…
Here too…the first long stretch of rain. I need to do a few things in the garden this afternoon before then. Then maybe some sewing. 🙂
yeah, exactly.
The magic ring …i am so drawn in… and how Grow grows….so well:)
A lovely inspiration…want to do “a grow”…a something which may not seem to end . Other than being so gorgeous…the comfort of knowing it continues to give it’s space to grow some …and then some more.
This one could get very big!
So much beauty!
always there, glad to witness any I can.
I kept pulling mine out also, the asters, and what a luminous surprise when I left them this year!
I know!!!
You too! ❤️
My wild asters are lavender and are covered with bees this late in the summer..now equinox time.
The white wood asters, so light & airy, almost like stars fallen to earth.
I envision them scattered on your ring of magic.
Peace this weekend!
they have inspired some starlight.
just read on nytimes about cornell’s native lawn gardens–is this the ground loving species they recommend for lawns?
gee I don’t know, it only blooms in deep shade. I will learn more.
Have a good weekend and hope most of the rain passes by your place quickly.
🤞🏼💗
looks like a soaker.
C’est magnifique !!!
😊
The magic ring is turning out to be mesmerizing. The whole quilt is wonder-full!
when things get going, they just go, there is ease in this one now.
Never heard of White Wood Asters! What a lovely discovery. You have a beautifully creative weekend, Jude!
Happy Autumnal Equinox…
Petals and bunting on the Grow quilt. Bursting with beauty! I have never seen the white wood asters. Yep, little stars.
yes, like stars
yeah, knowing them is new to me too.
