One thing just led to another…

So many questions...

\

One thing often inspires another.  But there is always newness when you're not trying to copy.  What happened at the bottom was a mystery and I just went with it. And then later I asked myself what if I do a bit of paper weaving?

The moon is yellow because I had some tumeric tea yesterday and used the dried tea bag as an overlay.

  1. One of the things I really like is how you go from paper to cloth, and cloth to paper. And how one isn’t exactly a copy of the other. I can see you adding the bottom of the drawing beast to the fabric design, as well. Not that you’ll necessarily do that, but I can see it. I was thinking “water fox” but I like Nancy D’s “Arctic Fox fish” much better. I need to draw more even if I’m not very good at most of it. I need to stitch more, too!

it just interesting when you draw, it reveals the connection between your hand and mind, no such thing as good at it in my opinion, I’m just always curious about the result…skill and style develop with just going.

That is amazing! Love that you used your turmeric tea bag. And good advice…. staying loose. I will try to keep that in mind.

Oh!…and you have a grinning Dragon beastie in the sky, with a curling tongue 🐲
Love the look on Moon’s face…as if she’s just given a Gaelic shrug, and the Foxy beastie of the waves.

Oh my gosh! This painting of yours is awesome! Your talents overlap and I love that you shared your tumeric tea bag’s transformation into the moon! It is 9:48 here in MN and still light enough to see the dark clouds mixed with highlights.. and there goes a version of your water beast floating by! Practically just as you had painted it! By the time I took a picture, it had floated away. The wind is strong tonight. I love coincidences!
