well hey, a new path

I feel almost ok today.

Close enough anyway. Some energy.  I missed it.

The cloth woven base was hanging around for a while,  and that's a Glennis Moon. Today I added the sea of confusion and the moon face.  Because they were on my mind. Of course the spark of cloth weaving is getting under my skin again. And it's time to fix up the cabin. A studio. I want to work big.   I need space. I want to focus on weave.

So far, a couch.  The rug was there but it is a bit mouse chewed and dirty.  One of my Turkish carpets maybe.  After a few months of work everything is sealed up and insulated.  No more mice. There is a sheep and alpaca farm next door.  Wool!  I did install a mini split heat pump.  Very efficient, cheap and clean energy for this space.  But...maybe a small wood burning stove? There is electricity, internet, a sleeping loft, but no plumbing.  Not sure I can afford that. A composting toilet and a water tank maybe.

Today, my son mowed the  path/road up...

SO glad you are feeling better, Jude! Your place is so beautiful, both inside & out. Didn’t know you were living without indoor plumbing – that’s true simplicity! New studio space is exciting! Weaving, yes!! I’ve been weaving for over 25 years and it never gets old, there’s always something new to try. Can hardly wait to see what you create! Enjoy!!

Oh Jude, how delightful your cabin is/will be. It sounds rejuvenating. I can see your loom set up in my mind and look forward to seeing how you use the wool. Enjoy your energy.

I would imagine this studio and the path to it must make you feel so much better after your medical emergency – must make you feel like you can move on? Some years ago, when I was in my early 70’s, I actually had a medical debacle, a surgery that went severely South, that left me with PTSD for many years. So I can quite understand what you might have gone through and I am so glad for you that you have this new path to look forward to, to embark upon. May you do it with great and pleasant anticipation; may it bring you distraction from the past and peace for the future.

Grinning with joy at your return of energy ✨️
    Your Studio….as Grace would say….Eeeeee 🥰
A little wood stove, compost toilet and water tank will be perfect…and a gorgeous Turkish carpet….swoon. There are very few things we miss after getting rid of everything, but the big Turkish carpet is one of them…not that it would fit in Martha ☺️
    The greeeeen 💚
    Weaving…cloth and loom? Exciting.
This woven cloth asking questions of the Moon 🌝
Big love to you and Soul-O 🤍🖤🤍🖤

Ive followed along, sometimes theres so many comments I thunk you could do without another! Hope and renewal I see here, the cycle of renewal, sometimes we forget what small miracles we are in all the meaning finding. This big space looks inviting and full of possibility. The sea of confusion can sit to the side a while maybe. Green is returning

I can’t wait to see the big work too! As for having delayed the refurbishment, maybe this season was just the right time.

    Just beautiful!

Yes..it always take much more time than we imagine! Can’t wait to see progress on your studio..even little by little

Take your time and enjoy your beautiful place as your studio space grows!💚💚💚 and weaving has been on my mind too lately…. maybe something little. 🤞🏼

  12. Jude~ I show J. your moon saying that I don’t know how you create such expression from bits of thread. Amazing.
Wow that woodgrain pattern! I could just lay on that couch, in the quiet & the nature for hours!! I agree w/ goodbye to the mouse rug (not good to breathe that), but I do like the quiet color of it.
And that path…dreamy, especially from here, as the fresh cut grass is great for my heartstrings, but a real drag for asthma and allergies. heehee

I couldn’t decide whether to add a face this time. I like how it brings consciousness.
Best not to use this rug. Mouse stuff is nasty.
I was sneezing a lot yesterday, grass cutting and very high tree pollen.

So glad your energy is returning and with it a spark! The cabin plans sound dreamy! Maybe it requires some naps on the couch first.

That is an amazing space. A wood burning stove would give nice ambiance and a spot for a dye bath! Excited to see what comes next.

  15. Jana

Somehow the freshly mown new path is a spirit-lifting sight. The grain pattern in the wooden walls of the cabin is unusual … inspirational perhaps? Happy to hear today was a much better day.

  16. Such a wonderful property and to have that great space for a studio too! I’m jealous!!

Can’t wait to see the new big work that comes out of there.

I love this space already. Definitely need a wood stove. Composting toilet and water tank works. My idea of a dream home. Glad you’re feeling better.
