A little Sun Joodling
I will talk about these joodles soon, in the Zone, but just want to say that I have made it possible to attach a photo with your comment here. We'll see how that works out. I do think it will be an enhancement to the Zone posts so we can share work related to the teachings. I have some concerns about the open blog, but we'll see. (Technology can be , well you know...) You should see an option to add an image attachment in the comments section of my posts if you feel it is appropriate.
Pouring rain but at least no heat wave or earthquakes, geez....

Rain is surely better than back to back earthquakes or a lethal heat wave! Is “Joodles” for Jude/Doodles? You probably said. Here’s a quilt I started and I have no idea where it is right now.
I love seeing everyone’s work. I have nothing to show. I sew only by machine now. Arthritis won.
Well look at all this enthusiasm. 🙂 Enjoying a rainy day here. Love the sun doodles.
I made the rice bag with linen tea dyed and stitched in a fake ninepatch, I think that’s what you called it.
Love you stitched suns!
Jude~ Well, isn’t this fun?!! I love the sunshine on your shoulder! In all my years as a John Denver gal, why did I never think of that?!!
There was a certain spot on my old commute, where the sun was just rising and coming in the driver’s side window…I’d sing it out loud! haha
Oh good, it worked 🙂
Sunshine on leather!
Yes it did, is it hard to stitch on leather?
Yes, it can be, but I’ve figured out a system to make it work. This is pretty soft deerskin from Pow Wow, pre-pandemic. It is so soft! I sent you some of it, so it’s that.
“Sun Salutation”
A collage pieced from my gel plate scraps, in gratitude for the Summer Solstice and summer days here in the northern hemisphere. My Nordic ancestors might have made such an offering in stone to the Old Norse sun goddess, Sunna.
We could use some of your rain out here in cool but dry California!
There’s a moon in there
This is beautiful Vicki.
My sister is sick. I have been making nine patches and it has been helping me to get through my anxiety. In the back of mu mind I hear Jude saying, they’re so nice… aren’t they?
They are my safety net, makes sense…
This is lovely!
Judy Chicago
well it worked and it has energy
