Considering Scale

Yesterday I stitched a little something. With coffee.

I thought about small, big.

Perhaps scale has to do with story sometimes.

A Magic Freedom Feather,  a Proud Feather of Hope.  I think this one, at 4" square-ish is actually Big. You know what I mean I guess.

The rainbow is my symbol for expanded vision anyway.

The magic feather  is an important symbol, let me work on adding that to the glossary.  Most of the info and record of the project was lost with the old blog.   But there are still pics on Flickr.  Of course the links to Typepad no longer work.  I will see what I can salvage...

I hope to get my worktables in the cabin this weekend.

  1. Jude~ This one is so special, especially as it reminds me of that amazing – community building time of The Magic Feather Project. I bet it feels good in your hand 🙂
I see it as a prayer flag for the studio. perhaps a string of them across the front or something. Love, love.

This rainbow feather touched me in so many ways. I have always loved rainbows and their magic… to see it with your healing feather is even more magical. Might show up in my clay next! Or at least in my “bird” robe which is really a flower robe I guess. Maybe time to add birds too. Anyway, you always give me more ideas….

Wow Girl–there is a depth and energy rising up in you that can be felt across the ether. The feather is a powerful symbol. Sour soul is flying to new heights

We, are all happy to see a “spark” returning ..to your posts. Concerned followers!
Go slow… there isn’t any race… recovery takes it own time….
Just having the desire to try and the thoughts to plan..is JOY!

  5. Oh you are on the move! :). I want to return to the alphabet again. Thinking about that along with symbols. Have I said I have too many ideas/projects? 🙂 More choices to make.

      • Thinking a lot about the alphabet/words as communication and symbols/images as communication. The languages we use. How some of us use one language more than another, or maybe how one comes more easily for us. How they work differently… Time resting gives lots of time for thinking. 🙂

Ah, the Magic Feather project. My favorite. All of us working together, sending feathers and with your vision in transforming them into a magic cloth for the children who were in need of healing. Magic indeed. The joint effort was an essential bonding of love.

The Feather was my introduction to you. And it floated deeper and deeper as I got to know you as an artist, and as Jude. I have a collection of found feathers from that time…
