well hey, a new path

I feel almost ok today.

Close enough anyway. Some energy.  I missed it.

The cloth woven base was hanging around for a while,  and that's a Glennis Moon. Today I added the sea of confusion and the moon face.  Because they were on my mind. Of course the spark of cloth weaving is getting under my skin again. And it's time to fix up the cabin. A studio. I want to work big.   I need space. I want to focus on weave.

So far, a couch.  The rug was there but it is a bit mouse chewed and dirty.  One of my Turkish carpets maybe.  After a few months of work everything is sealed up and insulated.  No more mice. There is a sheep and alpaca farm next door.  Wool!  I did install a mini split heat pump.  Very efficient, cheap and clean energy for this space.  But...maybe a small wood burning stove? There is electricity, internet, a sleeping loft, but no plumbing.  Not sure I can afford that. A composting toilet and a water tank maybe.

Today, my son mowed the  path/road up...

I can’t wait to see the big work too! As for having delayed the refurbishment, maybe this season was just the right time.

    Just beautiful!

Take your time and enjoy your beautiful place as your studio space grows!💚💚💚 and weaving has been on my mind too lately…. maybe something little. 🤞🏼

  5. Jude~ I show J. your moon saying that I don’t know how you create such expression from bits of thread. Amazing.
Wow that woodgrain pattern! I could just lay on that couch, in the quiet & the nature for hours!! I agree w/ goodbye to the mouse rug (not good to breathe that), but I do like the quiet color of it.
And that path…dreamy, especially from here, as the fresh cut grass is great for my heartstrings, but a real drag for asthma and allergies. heehee

So glad your energy is returning and with it a spark! The cabin plans sound dreamy! Maybe it requires some naps on the couch first.

That is an amazing space. A wood burning stove would give nice ambiance and a spot for a dye bath! Excited to see what comes next.

Somehow the freshly mown new path is a spirit-lifting sight. The grain pattern in the wooden walls of the cabin is unusual … inspirational perhaps? Happy to hear today was a much better day.

  9. Such a wonderful property and to have that great space for a studio too! I’m jealous!!

Can’t wait to see the new big work that comes out of there.

I love this space already. Definitely need a wood stove. Composting toilet and water tank works. My idea of a dream home. Glad you’re feeling better.
