The Journey Back from Hell

It's a longer story really.

But just to explain without asking for sympathy or getting into too much detail.  There was a sudden issue, a trip to the emergency room,  a rush to surgery and a 13 day hospital stay. I'm home now. recovering. I missed Soul-o so much.  I spent a lot of my down time just thinking.  About so many things.  I am grateful to be here.  And I've no idea where to begin again...or what I might be capable of or even motivated by.

When I returned home I put on my Wind Robe.  There are not a lot of pictures of it here, some here,  it was recorded on the blog that was Iost.  It is lightweight and full of patches and stitches  and I add to it once in a while.  It holds a sense of liquid safety for me.

This morning I noticed this wishing star stitched in a way to hold things together.  Wishing can be a kind of mending I said to myself.  Maybe it also has something to do with new eyes.

My energy is slowly returning.  I've been almost completely absent from social media, with all that downtime I did no scrolling.  Broke the habit.  Not missing it.

So hey ho.

love the simplicity ‘n transparency of this “mending star”. grateful you’re on the other side of whatever “that” was, safely cocooned in your wind robe with your beloved soul-o alongside. he must be wondering “what was that?” also… here’s to “new wise” for all of us! x

Glad you are back. I’ll tell you what my yoga teacher said, and she may have been quoting also: start where you are, use what you have, do what you can. Sending lots of love and healing energy.

Oh i worry now when i see someone out of commission for awhile, as there are so many of us older these days. Glad to hear you’re on the ups as they say. Hugs across the ether, and a good cuppa tea.

Happy to hear you’re home and Soul-o and you are reunited. Please take care and go slow when need be. That star makes me crushingly aware of life’s fragility — it is barely stitched together.

Oh my! I’m glad you are home and wrapped in the Bird Robe with Soul-o for companionship. Sending lots of healing ❤️ your way. I have a robe I made (actually two) thanks to your generous guidance and I feel the same way – love to wrap up in it when things are not going well. And add a few stitches occasionally. Thank you for that!
