Slower

It took me a while to create this post. I think I've entered into a slower phase. Thank you for all your kind comments on the last post. I just couldn't get to answering all of them, sitting upright is tiring...

He's right here beside me,  although it's a bit crowded in the chair.

He stays so close. The purring helps me.  My soul-o.

I'd like to say it's now slower stitch.  It was bit by bit, but evidence of going all the same.  This scrappy May Stray holding peace while navigating a cloud of new eyes.

bleeding hearts grow wild here.

No garden this year.  I am happy to watch things just growing. The sense of just going.

  1. Mae West once said, “Anything worth doing is worth doing slowly.” I’ve always held that thought close to my heart, but then I’ve never minded running with turtles!

I’ve missed you. The Universe slows us down every once in a while. Heal and enjoy the slowness. This too shall pass. 😍

The purr if a cat has been proven to help knit bones back together. I am pretty sure it knits other things together as well. Even when you can’t work in your garden just being able to watch it is restorative.

Life here is really a garden, I eat so much of what I forage.
The purring is ongoing! Maybe it weaves things back together too.

  4. Jude, sorry to hear no garden but you are surrounded by so much green that just watching will be nice . Wishing you a speedy recovery return to feeling better .
    Take care dewey

I’ve no new wise words to share that haven’t already be shared….. I do have a constant, heart full of honor, deep care and valuing of and for YOU.
So let my, at present, strong and grounded heartbeat reach out and aid yours. You surely have aided me, (though you didn’t know it). …..

    Jude –
Love the cloud of new eyes – may they radiate healing energy along with the purring, the stitching and the flowering!

Sorry you are going through this.
    ❤️

I had a glorious garden back when I could move easy. Now I can do nothing but enjoy what has survived. Moving hurts but it helps if done slowly and carefully. And purr helps the most of all.

Soul-O taking charge! Purrrfect nurse. Glad you at least be in one big garden of new life and not a season of snow and darkness. Take care, hope days get easier and more comfortable.💞

Hey Jude, you’ve put so much of yourself out there so now keep some of that energy for yourself. We learn to adjust and adapt, or we try to. I love that Soul-o comforts you, my Nikko does the same for me, he even lowers the blood pressure reading now and then. May your energy resources continue to replentish. love and hugs to you and Soul-o.

Sending you love & hugs Jude .🫶🤗🌸
Your stitches have always been such an inspiration 🙏
    Thankyou 🧚‍♀️

Slow slower slowest – we all need to aspire to owning our own time. I am so happy to see this post and your thoughts.

And I almost forgot… I cut the speed down on my Bernina Beast, and she’s been behaving better. And so have I.😍

I wish I knew how to share photos here. I would send you a picture of my peonies.
My garden is minimal also. Volunteer Philadelphia fleabane and daisy fleabane bay have reacted me into a red rash on my arms. I need to cover up and tear them out unfortunately. They could also have a respiratory effect. So mask, sleeves and gloves. We are all aging as well as we can…start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can. Sending healing Reiki energy to you and my brother in Maine.

Fleabane, it’s around here, never really had an issue. Yes, we will do what we can. I’m going to take a short walk.

Hi Jude, I’m trying again here……for some reason my note to you a few days earlier didn’t go through. I am thinking of you often, and delighted each time a muse from you shows up in my IN box! So glad you have a lovely spot for recovery and watching the world floating by. And of course your Soul-O knows exactly what you need, and produces your most important medicine…..purring.

Small steps to healing–we are all rooting for you. slow but steady wins (the race) –but not a race. A journey–they are different.

  16. sharon

thinking about how new eyes relate to new ears… when we see from a new perspective, do we listen differently as well?… and feel differently with our hearts? interesting response within soul-o…

    I’ve grown to love slow.
Purring therapy must be the best….and all the love he has for you….your Soul-O 🤍🖤
    Those new eyes though.
I made a Bleeding Heart flower essence this Spring 💖

  18. Moki

The trail is surprising and the purring companion so precious, thank you Soul-O our Jots was that purr for us😘

  19. Jan Stevenson

Maybe we all find a slower pace together. picking up the slack for each other. Your own healing instinct is still there and will assert itself. sending love. . .

My grandparents kept a garden. There were some things that were always there. Now that I have a yard I have put those plants into my garden. One of those is a bleeding heart. I also have a peony, as they did, and my pride and joy–an Austrian Copper rose. The rose put on quite a glorious show for me last year.

Jude~ Oh yes, trying to do what the doctors want while respecting what your body is saying too…such a challenge! Soul-o is such a dear one. I’m so grateful you have him by your side. I am remembering when he arrived to your home and the time it took – look at you two now!
Much love and healing thoughts. 💕

  22. Marilee

I hear you. Been there myself. Gotta move to get better, but rather just take it easy. However, with Soul-o purring you on, you’ll be back full force in no time.

  23. Pam S.

Yeah I need to move more after too many hours stitching, but it’s difficult to put it down….like I’m wasting time if I’m not doing something with my hands🪡
    🙃

  24. Stephanie

Just quietly watching, without feeling the constant necessity of doing, can bring such gratitude. Bless dear Soul-o, your steady companion. Be well and heal. 💕
