Hi

he likes it. he cuddles more cuz it's cold.

We are here.

I struggle trying to post here from my phone, having somehow misplaced the box with the computer stuff in it.  I think there will be a blog break until the New Year. Unpacking is slow.  It is very very cold and keeping the fire going keeps me busy.

And no computer is well,  too time consuming and aggravating. I'll post pics if I can.

Let's just celebrate the return of light. Quietly.

Everything is otherwise fine.

the sun was out today bur tomorrow snow.

warmth

loose ends but still love

the best feeling in the world when the vehicles are unloaded and you realize that there are no more trips to be made in and out. boxes can wait. and a fire and soul-o to cozy up with. congrats on the move!

    Dear Jude
It’s the best time of year to be busy taking it easy. I have just moved too, to a tiny place in a completely new surrounding. Lightening feels really good.

So happy you’re in your new place, Jude! What a beautiful view out the window. It looks like home already – the view, the lights, the fire, the soup, the beloved cat. Wishing you the best, and looking forward to your return to blogging!

  4. Sending blessings as you & Soul-O settle deeper and deeper into your new home! <3

    This by John O'Donohue:
'May this house shelter your life.
When you come in home here,
May all the Weight of the world
    Fall from your shoulders.

May your heart be tranquil here….

May this be a safe place
    Full of understanding and acceptance,
Where you can be as you are….

May this home be a place of discovery,
    Where the possibilities that sleep
In the clay of your soul can emerge
To deepen and refine your vision
For all that is yet to come to birth."

And David Whyte's poem "House of Belonging." A beautiful excerpt he reads here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjrVTPjRryY.

    With love always –

  5. I am just making my way back to this space and my needles and thread so I will look forward to your return. Those mason jars with lights are just beautiful. Hope you are finding ways to protect your peace.

I just recently moved……what a huge endeavor! Still not done unpacking as well. I’m curious as to why you moved, from where, and to where. It seemed beautiful where you were when first I discovered your channel and binge watched everything just to catch up. You are such an inspiration. You create such unique and lovely things.🦋

    ‘ WE ARE HERE’…
That is so very good to hear.
    The light….
    A gentler time…
    All in good time…
Being here …that will do just fine.
    All the very best, Jude.

So GOOD to see you both there !!! Taking time to adjust to the new and the unpacking takes time and energy. We know now you’ve arrived safely.
All the best and lots of warmth (though best to keep the fire going indeed 🙂 !)

Thanks Jude. So very good to see this….and look how much love is shining out of Soul-O’s eyes as he looks at you.

I remember that heart from Whispering Hearts class? It inspired me to stitch it on the piece I made. 💓
    Keep warm. Rest well.

Love your sparkly mason jars. Very cheery –
and in the words of Leonard Cohen,

“Ring the bells that still can ring,
    Forget your perfect offering.
    There’s a crack in everything.
That’s where the light gets in.”

soul-o’s face sez it all. home sweet home! just to know you’ve arrived safely with all your boxes is a good feeling. you’re on “the other side” now. one day at a time, it’ll all gently unfold. no worries, no hurries. know you’ll sleep well, dear jude, with soul-o’s purring in your ear. ha! thanx so much for this update…

Good cheer and coziness to you and Soul-O in your new home! The simple heart sketch holds SO much. How do you do that?

    Solstice stillness and blessings.

The perfect picture to post, it gives us place and vibe. So happy to hear you feel at home. Home is where the heart is — may your heart rest in the peace and joy of wintering. Best wishes for new beginnings!

The warmth of a fire, the coziness of a companion, a nourishing bowl of noodles, the land stilled and snowy, surrounding you with quiet and comfort.quiet- Home. Before I knew you were navigating from your Sub stack blog, I sent you my favorite Celtic Winter Solstice Blessing. Seems more than fitting to place it here, in this familiar place, this blog home.

Deep peace of the running waves to you.
Deep peace of the flowing air to you.
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you.
Deep peace of the shining stars to you.
May the beauties of the earth, sky and sea
Fill your heart with lasting peace and contentment

    Let it go
    Let it all go.
You have paid and played and now it is the
better part of honor and strategy to lean back

Your example will be an offering to the whole world that needs to be reminded that the solstice is for listening
    and healing and
what better way than letting the cat hold your lap and
as the light fades early you
    Have permission to
    Let it all go

You look very comfy there in front of the fireplace, eating warm lovely soup with your faithful Soul-O at your side looking right at home.

    How nice. Just right.

It is wonderful to see you in your new home! Our news station says everyone is snow bound and roads are too dangerous to travel. I had visions of you stuck in a blizzard. I see that Solo has taken a warm spot next to you, you are sketching, and you are stitching.

It makes me happy when I see you and Soul-o creating your new home.
Sketching, sewing and good, hot soup. You are amazing! We can stop fretting about you, Jude. And the computer can wait while you settle in. Hugs from one of your California Ragmates.

  21. Susan Lamb

What lovely images !.such a delightfully smiley cat looking happy in his new home . Hope you will soon feel settled and are inspired to stitch with new vision.

  22. Judith

Soul-O looks settled and peaceful so everything is right with the world. The computer will appear in it’s own good time. Rest and be thankful.

    Welcome home <3
    what a smile Solo has!
unwind and unbox as you need
    plant the seeds
be cozy and bloom into your new space
and the wires will lead you to the computer.
Solstice blessings will unfold in time
