January rolls on

A bit of a thaw here before the polar vortex arrives.

The wood is dry and I will cover it before tonight's cold rain.

there is enough wood to get us through.

could be any of us right now...

The moss has greened up, like it does,  but there are still signs of a weathered storm.

The Seeing Tree I have been calling it,  and it is branching out in all directions.  I think I might want to work in that new symbol... Newness.

how slowly we might change, quietly, unnoticed. Even if it is just how we see.

Love the seeing tree….mesmerizing. The snow finally hit Montana. All white and innocent. Young man on my street knocking on my door. Can I shovel your walkway for five bucks. Wanted to give him a twenty. Baby steps.

  2. Did the wood survive ok, I wonder? So far from the house! Up here, I would have to get it with a sled and maybe a few dogs if it were that far away! Love the seeing tree 🙂

yeah, it is fine and dry. It’s not far from the house really, this is a pic from the road in on my way back from grabbing the mail.

It’s amazing how you puzzle pieces together and tell a fresh story with each new addition….like the “piece” is a book with chapters. A wonderment.

  4. in February Vagina Monologues comes to town…at the Birdcage Theater. We have our tickets, me, daughter, granddaughter ( and i would even take the 6 year old great granddaughter)…….what I saw when i looked
at this Cloth just now…the opening of the ancient and the new

“Newness” as a symbol delights me, bringing to light from something formerly hidden from view. “Forms that thought might encourage.”
    In courage…
    Noticing begets seeing
(does noticing come before seeing or visa versa?)
begets the birth of a new thought!
    A spark!
Nicely illustrated in your Seeing Tree.
