A bit of a thaw here before the polar vortex arrives.
The wood is dry and I will cover it before tonight's cold rain.
The moss has greened up, like it does, but there are still signs of a weathered storm.
The Seeing Tree I have been calling it, and it is branching out in all directions. I think I might want to work in that new symbol... Newness.

My favourite “story” in a long time. I love the feeling of hope
it’s everything really. it’s what moves us toward tomorrow.
Love the seeing tree….mesmerizing. The snow finally hit Montana. All white and innocent. Young man on my street knocking on my door. Can I shovel your walkway for five bucks. Wanted to give him a twenty. Baby steps.
He would probably ask for 50 here…and I would offer him 20. But I need the exercise and nobody walk this long road in to ask.
How seeing might be reaching…
maybe in all directions
Did the wood survive ok, I wonder? So far from the house! Up here, I would have to get it with a sled and maybe a few dogs if it were that far away! Love the seeing tree 🙂
yeah, it is fine and dry. It’s not far from the house really, this is a pic from the road in on my way back from grabbing the mail.
Yes, branching out in all directions, with an open heart.
opening to newness.
It’s amazing how you puzzle pieces together and tell a fresh story with each new addition….like the “piece” is a book with chapters. A wonderment.
yes, you have defined my true sense of story cloth.
in February Vagina Monologues comes to town…at the Birdcage Theater. We have our tickets, me, daughter, granddaughter ( and i would even take the 6 year old great granddaughter)…….what I saw when i looked
at this Cloth just now…the opening of the ancient and the new
perhaps true vision is timeless?
“Newness” as a symbol delights me, bringing to light from something formerly hidden from view. “Forms that thought might encourage.”
In courage…
Noticing begets seeing
(does noticing come before seeing or visa versa?)
begets the birth of a new thought!
A spark!
Nicely illustrated in your Seeing Tree.
Looking is kind of an exercise in direction for me, noticing a spark in consciousness, and seeing a sense of understanding.
Wonderful tree💚
tree is such a companion
Growth in the depths of winter.
“Eye” love seeing it!
💚
cannot believe how fast that moss kicks in.
Totally loving the Seeing Tree—roots, new growth, all-seeing eyes!
thinking growth is a kind of slow release…
