Last summer I had so many tomatoes that I started roasting them in the oven (with or without spices), grinding them up and freezing them. Like a taste of summer all winter. Was hoping to repeat the tomato harvest this year, however, our tomatoes are slow to ripen as well. Maybe this week.
Always love your suns and the many ways you use them!

LOVE this piece . . . a landscape to me . . . very lively, with all the “parts” connecting together. I envy your eggplants! We live in a colder climate and it was a great thrill to actually get some ripe tomatoes this year. Anything from the garden is a blessing!

Composition is really like a momentary puzzle isn’t it? I like that this one fell together and my thoughts became some sort of glue…
Yes, anything from the garden… even worms!

Roast’m in a real slow oven or over a slow fire till they collapse, like hours… scoop out the insides and mash with garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper.

  3. Hoping for enough warm weather that the last of the figs ripen. I just had five. We are supposed to be warmer today, the breeze should keep it from being too humid though. Might pick my sunflower today and use it for dyeing. Might do some drawing and cutting today too. 🙂

How lovely to receive a late summer bounty from the garden when all seemed finished for the season. It’s not over ’til it’s over. Beautiful “ode to sun” on these two pieces.

Beautiful sunflower and story cloth pieces Jude 💙
We are finally having cooler mornings with less humidity. I can’t wait for hurricane season to end!
