A word I use to describe the oversized cloth “bookmarks” I often offer in the shop.

They developed from a habit I have of storing unfinished stitched scraps between book pages to keep them flat.  They become useful as place-keepers even while in process. And the book becomes useful as a safe-keeper for scraps of self. I love the relationship that developed/
