Hello from the North Pole…

the endless winterJust kidding, just feels like that.

Today I returned to 1969.  In my mind.  On paper.  Same paints, same peace, new eyes.

I removed the computer. Just a work table now.

I let go of so many things with coffee.  Changed my mind a million times.  It's all fine here.  I will continue.  I think I will rename the Forever Zone The NOT Forever Zone, that should work for as long as I can continue.

some old joodle on the back of an index card used to mix paint, becoming more.

Once upon a time I was really just going.  Didn't give a shit about what anybody thought about what I was doing.  I need that.

And so, I'll go. Using Substack as a newsletter, or something.  Such a weird vibe. I'll blog here, add new private pages as it happens.  The Jude Hill Shop will be updated with the full moon.   Threadcrumbs will be dropped in as it happens.  The Not Forever Zone will be in the shop again with the next update.

Expecting another foot of wet snow.  I'll try to bitch in the backgound and leave you out of it. 😂

Nice hearing how life goes up north. Here on the western shore we have rain!
Funny how old art is showing up, Me too from 1999. The river circles ‘round, Like your roundhouse.😉

Hey Ho, I love this home format, and your always realness. So bitch away and flush it out so you can carry on, mostly with a smile.

I love your work table. I just finished building mine. In a bitsy trailer in a beautiful boggy spot with redwoods and oaks yet still plenty of light. My ‘think, do, don’t do, work, rest, BE ME place’.
    You are an inspiration Jude!

It’s good to hear from you! I’ve missed your emails, hearing your news and seeing your photos of life across the pond, and your fantastic artwork of course. ♥️

Hello! No snow here, but the wind is howling. Cool not cold.
This is the first time I noticed a Dog in your work. Have there been others?
I wish I could draw and paint my thoughts .. amazing talent!
    The color choices are delightful!
Button down.. hang on… Spring will come!

Not really. Was just working around some paint splotches on paper. But then come to think of it, there were some dogs way back. I’m going through it all, I’ll find them

Ah bitch away, I love it! We’re expecting 2′ of snow here in Boston, I love it! Only the hale and hearty are out and about. Your watercolor sketch is fabulous!

I think about revisiting old work and themes all the time, two forward, one back is the norm for me a crab, living in crab meadow, and often crabby. Im only back in 2013 which is kind of where the crabiness got into lock down. 2009 was the real start but it took a few years to get going.

Glad you’re only getting a foot of snow. they are saying 24 by us, but I guess its relative. I plan to stay in and paint and make bread. Maybe next year I will buy a woodturning stove. That’s a nice add if the power goes out. Stay safe and cozy…

Snow. Yes…well shit! Same here. 8” of the bloody stuff! Ugh!

Not Forever Zone! So true for us all. I marvel at your regularity and proliferation. I’m lucky to maintain a Sometimes Zone…or more accurately, an If You’re Lucky Zone. Ha! Kudos, my friend!

My daughter told me about it the snow. She said they were just starting to get a little melt going on. Now this. You’re farther up or out than she is. Stay warm!
Yes, the days of not giving a shit about what people thought! Now it’s mostly what I think about what I’m doing or not doing. That needs to stop too. Not helpful

So very happy to hear from you! Just yesterday I was thinking, Where’s Jude?
    I miss her!
We’re chilly today, but not cold. Most of us know that soon the heat will hit. And for a long time. So for now, we’re basking in the chilliness!
