A, today, is for A little light, perhaps, at the end of the tunnel...
And then, Adios, as in (hopefully) goodbye to bullshit. Bullshit is not in the glossary but maybe it should be.
It's funny how this moon cabin suddenly looks like a light at the end of a tunnel. Which has me thinking a bit differently about cabins. And adding more perspective. And then I am swept inward to look at my own bullshit, because I am not immune to the human dilemma.
I lost the beginnings of A for Applique yesterday. Lost in a pile of scraps I was sorting. I will begin again.
So much is different suddenly, I am dizzy with change. And that's fine.
Anyway, Yay NYC! Let's come together, shall we?

Temple is already in the glossary.

Spirit Cloth always has seemed a light at the end of a tunnel, an escape from politics, from disputes, from anger and hatred, which are everywhere else on the Internet and, it often seems, in ordinary life in communities, even families. Here is creativity, beauty, nature, handwork. Please don’t let what’s outside into the tunnel. It will cloud the light.
I hope that any dialogues here are only a path to lightness.
Jude, your blog does lead a path to lightness. It is why I visit every day. I hope each of us can put our bit of lightness out into the world for others to see or feel.
It’s worth the effort….
I breathed a little sigh of relief yesterday.
And the moon seemed to be lighting a path forward.
what an amazing moon.
A little light, ADIOS, and AMEN! I needed a light at the end of the tunnel, I was starting to lose it a bit at the beginning of the week!
there are so many tunnels, sigh…
Breathing easier. Hope shines anew.
at least for the moment
I have been so concerned about all of you from Australia with the craziness that has been going on over there !!
There is certainly light at the end of the tunnel . Congratulations to the new major of NY 🌸🫶
it’s very scary here
Woman power gives me hope for the future. Maybe I’ll even be proud to be an American again and stop telling people I’m Canadian during foreign traveling. 😂
Maybe pride can be obstacle to peace sometimes
I’m feeling a little light all the way to Washington State.
Yes, YAY New York!
Maybe We, the People, will mean something.
Grateful for action, hope, and your thoughts on light today. 💛
❤️
Jude~ The sharing of a flame says so much. And a light at the end of the tunnel Allows for hope to grow. 💕 Yay for all of the dem wins yesterday…wins for the people here and the world at large.
The edge has been softened…
I love the idea of the cabin being the light at the end of the tunnel. Your fabric choices are awesome for this cabin. I think we all could use some time to reflect on the perspective of our inner and outer world.
I wish we had a “verified true” information icon, but I guess we all have a lens we look through so that might not work.
Yes, truth is so personal, I accept that.
A is also for attagirl!!!!! Way to rep for us!!
Let’s do this.
Active hope… 🙂
🎶
A is for ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that enough is enough and that the people who voted, stood up for Democracy yesterday. An immigrant is Mayor of New York. Democratic women now govern Virginia and New Jersey.
Snapshot from my state of New Mexico: We have had a powerful Democratic female governor for eight years and now the former Native American Democratic Secretary of the Interior, Deb Haaland is running for Governor. While not on the ballot yesterday, , New Mexico, with one of the highest poverty levels in the nation, has become the first state to pass universal child care.
Finally, CA leveled the playing field by passing Prop 50, allowing more districts to become Democratic as a counter measure to Texas.. May the roar that began yesterday continue as more voices rise up and stand up for Democracy and the will of the people…
Yay for Action!
PS I hope you don’t mind that I share this here…
but hey, I am curating a political exhibit at the Queens College Art Center Gallery (located in the CUNY Campus of Queens College in Flushing NY – a gorgeous space!) in May 2027.
If you or any of the fabric artists want to submit work for consideration they should email me at VirginiaMallon@gmail.com. To submit and to show is free, but I may ask participating artists to contribute a small amount of money to help pay for a gallery sitter during the month… like maybe $50. Or not. I may just do it myself, like I have for the past 3 shows… but if you are interested, I would love to hear from you. xo
2026 not 2027. Oops
Sounds great! I doubt I will have work, but I will surely contribute!!!
🧡
I agree! Yay for NYC. A glimmer of hope in a world of lunatics.
What a relief…
Nothing stays. Change happens. It’s much needed. See the Moon! A looming Light in the dark of night!
Yes, the moon!
Woke to the sounds of busting blue waves, females taking lead, all to following with a beaver moon. 😊
You’re light holds me, a voice that inspires always. Think I’ll create a cabin today in celebration of the magical wins yesterday! 🌚🌊🏚️
It’s one hell of a moon! I was so awestruck I forgot to take a photo.
Hmmm, coming together with a little light . . . (yes, you sure need that over there !!!) Affection . . .
Really, enough.
yay nyc!!! indeed!
🔥
We need a little lightness 💙
