Halloween 2025

There was some really wild weather. So much rain and the wind gusts reached 60 mph late last night. The power went down around midnight,  but I had a big fire going and it was back in the wee hours of the morning.

Bruno went as a cheese cracker, I made the costume.  The weather behaved just long enough...

Something big fell in the forest, I am glad I had the trees cut near the house.

All is well...

oh HA!!! that costume’s a real “crack”up… would be TOO cool hangin’ from bruno’s bedroom ceiling. a pop art mobile… the two of you could make up a story about the flyin’ cheese cracker that escaped from the box (just in time)…

The cheese cracker is so clever. I must share Bruno’s idea with my family….they will be impressed. I come from a long line of costume-makers and the discussion will be whirling around the dinner table tonight! Thank you!!!

A cheese cracker!😄 What a darling, commanding the walk. I could eat him all up! Glad tree danger now farther in the woods!

Cute costume and love the cats. Too quiet and peaceful here; even though I live in town now there were no trick or treaters. Far different from in the past when we had over 200. Kind of sad really.

Great job on Bruno’s costume! and glad you stayed warm with your fireplace… I could do without all the violent storms 😬

Love the cat skeleton! My handylady had to leave early yesterday. She had an adult party to attend. She made a mushroom costume. She told me she made a paper mache hat that she painted red with white dots. Cheese crackers is great too. I love creative costuming.

What a wonderful costume, great job Nana. Hope no one took a “nibble” out of Bruno ! Bruno had a terrific idea for his costume. Food costumes are great because they are so unexpected. A few years ago, my grandson dressed up as a ketchup bottle and my granddaughter was a fried egg.

We are no strangers to heavy winds here in New Mexico but they are always tough and worrisome if trees are around. Glad that you were safe and had a good fire to warm up to.

Jude~ He (with your help) made a great cheese cracker!! Glad he had his moments to enjoy and that your trees were trimmed before this big storm. Stay warm and safe. xo

Love the cheese cracker costume! It’s even better that his grandma could make it for him. I’m sure he was so tickled you made his wish for that costume happen.
Wow, 60 mile an hour winds. That can do some damage. Glad there was no damage to your home.

Bruno as a cheese cracker, adorable❤
When you mentioned it the other day, I decided, that was what I was going to give out for treats this year. Heaven knows the kids get enough candy. I decided that packets of cheese cracker was healthy for the kiddos and for me too if I had anything left after they were done. Lol, I had three left in the bowl when the siren signaled trick or treat was over for the kiddos. I turned off the porch light and enjoyed a cup of tea and a cheese cracker. Blessings and hugs to you and Bruno…for the suggestion.
