Lull…

Early this morning, like 4 AM,  woke up and started putting holes in the walls.  There is always a sense of defiance and comfort in that.

There is a basket with everything in process that came off the walls when I moved. Time to reconsider where I was.

That's the basket...

This is upstairs, a wall came down, you can see the mark on the floor near the tree. Better now, the circle more apparent. Back to unpacking my life.

Today A is for ahhhhhh.

I love your house, Jude! What a great find?! The floor pattern, and tree thru the middle …. and it so suits you and your fabric and stitching; and your special rugs on the floor. I’d guess it’s a One-Off, surely there couldn’t be another one, and everything fits in. You’ll enjoy being there, together with Soul-o. Very best wishes.

That was my question, but this was turned into an Airbnb, chopped up into small spaces and this one was designed to be a small office type thing. with a tiny sleeping loft as well. An awful little dark cramped space that destroyed the sense of circle. Poof, better. I’m not sure I want any walls…😂

ahhhhhh, the bliss of those early AM hours… where the border between dreams ‘n Awakening is blurred ‘n clarity is rediscovered. and then time spent seeing thru the eyes of your grandchildren. how the costumes children choose reveal their hearts’ desires… the joy of being a real, live cheese cracker must feel truly magical. (i might have to give that a go!) x

Jude~ Old becoming newer again. Every photo of your home has me feeling surprise all over again…how did you ever land in such a perfect Jude house?!! I agree with Dee, the home is you, your cloth work in wood and structure. Enjoy. ❤️

Love the new (or re-new) openness. More room to breathe. Am also trying to settle into days of more inside time. More time to consider. More time to stitch.

  5. What a joy to have uncovered this beautiful space! I can almost hear the space sighing with contentment, released from captivity. …And exploring your basket — like reading through an old journal. The possibility of old embers re-ignited or new sparks set off…

The previous owner divided the space to use it as an airb&b. It seemed sad. Better now.
It is like a journal waiting for words.
      Still smoldering

After so much work being done, you must be finally feeling more at home…putting those holes in the wall, and surrounding yourself with things from the basket will make it more so. I know the feeling….Exhale!

Fun day for you…a rediscovery of yourself…and a Tree growing through the roof!! I’d never feel alone in a room like that…
