I did less rays here, my eyes get a bit strained these days with a split backstitch especially when I am splitting hairs. Somehow it works. A little sun is better than none.
Of all the gifts of learning from you over the years, I think the freedom of not knowing, just going, and loving the journey, is what I treasure most. Thank you. 🩵
“the only point of consciousness is the starting point…” yes! love the frayed edges of continuation. the thread ball. the snips. the worn wood. such a lovely still life story. your photography is poetry, jude… x
Hello Jude!
The view from the back?? porch is lovely! It is like the property is hugging you.
Do your stitches show on the backside of the piece.. or are they within the layers of fabric??
I love the blending of the colors of thread.
I love your process of making with what you have. And we all have so much. I do think the outcome is enhanced when you have a well defined color palette after decades of collecting “your colors”.
I really appreciate your narrating your process, Jude. I find process fascinating, and ruminate on mine as I work. I may start with a plan, but it morphs into its own as I go. I am not interested in finishing a project…until I finish it. You know what I mean? I just enjoy the process.
I’m working on a Woodland poppet right now. Been working on it for a long time.
Listening to your thoughts helps me at times, to take some of my self doubts….. and sit on them quite firmly:):) allowing Flow to be and do its thing..
S is for serendipity. 🙂

I love the colors- feels fallish.
Yeah, the transition thing. Hope it cools down out there soon, fingers crossed, no fires.
I love the way you think. Your thoughts flow…🌀
I feel better when I free them

Everything in my life seems scrap at this point.
Love this cabin! Beautifully stitched.
Thanks, I’m using them to hold me through some crazy days.
Wow, no wonder it is so very green there!
Green is fading tho…
I love those small variations away from what might have been expected. They are always in perfect taste, and make the looking more fun.
Yes, such relief in that.
I love that little spit of yellow in the bottom ray. It adds an unexpected touch. The whole piece is delightful.
Just a thread end that ended up in the needle. 😂
Glowing beautiful 💙
How it happens is always a nice surprise!
Yes, suddenly possibility…

It’s the front porch, I haven’t done photos the back porch yet. I like to leave the stitches showing on the back, like a map of going.
