Too Hot

Awful heat.

And humidity.  You know me by now... Summer Bitch has emerged.

This cordwood house is still cooler than outside but after days of heat, I'm just exhausted.

Some like it hot.

Lingering internet issues have me bitching even more.  Bear with me, all will be well enough soon enough.

I made a video for the Forever Zone, but I will have to wait till next week to upload it.

I "planned" to be back to the New and Full Moon shop updates,  we all know how plans go.

I don’t do well with heat and humidity. I tend to stay inside as if it was -50 below outside. And I don’t mean to sound like a spoiled American but my air conditioning freezes me out. I can’t find a comfortable temp and THAT makes me BITCHY! 🫣

    Beautiful critter pictures.
In the 90s here; happy about it now cuz it will be worse. No high humidity — good for humans, bad for fires. Good day for sittin’ and stitchin’.

Had to take my daily stroll when a hint of light glazed the horizon, thinkni beat the birds. And refilled my ground water bowls, u always come to mind!
    Time for another watermelon!

  4. One more day, so they say. I turned my two window a/c’s on Sunday evening, and I’ve been in the humming bubble of cool air since. I don’t love the whole ambiance of this, but I function a lot better. Nice to see the creatures close.

I’m lucky–trees shield most of my house from most of the sun. It’s been hot here in Pittsburgh but I feel lucky to be getting by mostly with strategic window management and fans, some AC in the evening, and not expecting much of myself.

It’s hot here in Nova Scotia so it’s very early morning and late evening strictly business dog walks. The cardinals and other song birds are happily singing, their little voices are so precious. I love seeing your sitting chair Jude! It’s actually comforting somehow. Ever thankful that you share your thoughts, your inspiring drawing and stitching and much of your life with us. Nose nuzzles to Soul-o.

I’m with you, Jude. Rather have snow than high heat and humidity.
We’re in the 90’s here in northern AZ., but triple digits just left and unfortunately will come back around.
    I stay in and create.

  8. Pat in Ohio

    Good morning Jude,
It’s cooled slightly here in NW Ohio. Even with fans and AC the house just doesn’t cool enough at bed time. Last night, the nighty was left on the chair. When hubby came to bed. His words were similar to what he would hear years ago from me. Still made me chuckle. Cooler weather promised…
    We’re hoping.

  9. I can’t complain about the weather although it was spooky muggy yesterday afternoon. I am getting cranky about my back. I fell out of a chair last week (takes true talent!) and landed hard. I am okay and improving but still sore, especially in the morning…

Deb~ Yikes so sorry to hear this! Funny story: Back in my school-age classroom days, a 2nd grade teacher would tell the story of another teacher’s daughter – who liked to sit with her knees pulled up and under her shirt, feet on the chair along with her bottom…that is until the day she was perched like that and just tipped over, falling off her chair! Such a good visual! haha But, back pain, especially as an adult is the worst – take care.
Jude my ankle has been wiggly-twisty lately. ugh.

    Too hot for outdoors 🥵
You should get one of those small room air conditioners I’ve seen advertised a lot. I wouldn’t be able to breathe without A/C here in Florida!

Here, it’s the mosquitos after all the glorious rains of Spring. And I can’t bear to put poison on my skin. Perhaps I should slather myself with mud, the way our Native American predecessors did! Gardens are becoming strained. But that’s Summer gardening in North Texas…
Love your wild Turkey!!! And sitting nook…
