Sunny Day

June. The rain finally stopped and we barely slid by without a freeze last night.  I hope this morning's fire will be the last of the season.

I changed the name to

There are Answers Everywhere

I'm going outside to check the status of delicate plants.  I will wander today while considering the risks of taking a stand. Along with selfishness, ignorance, evil, conscience and courage.  I've already spent a lot of time on stupid.

The stitching on the star, I want to call that the Energy stitch, I'll talk about that, but I'm going out now. Unplugging.

Love this so much Jude, all those little elements coming together and making something beautiful.
The first walk of the morning is exciting isn’t it, seeing what’s happened during the night. Much needed rain here in the Southwest of the UK.
Thank you for all the years of posting , it’s been a joy.

Love your piecework; I see a stormy winter coming to an end with the sun starting to peek out.
I wish I could walk with you.

  3. So nice to see the sun! I had a fire last night, it was a good move. Warm in the house this morning. Good day for wandering, ha, not all who wander are lost 🧡

Love the subtle beauty in the eye of the wave, the stipple in the clouds, the magic of the squared star, the integration of the layers, the moon in the home, oh just everything!

This is one of my favorite cloth art pieces you have shared. So many interesting details……so much to see here. I love everything. It seems I say this to you often!!!!!

Seeing art from you daily offers me lovely moments I can carry through my days.

Is this space going to become political? I have had my fill of other people contaminating everything with their politics. Respite now means having to disconnect—from everything.

I have followed you for years because of your honesty and kindness. I need to hear/know that real people -people that I respect- are willing to speak their truth. Doesn’t have to be a lot of words. Acknowledgement goes a long way and makes me feel like I’m not alone. ❤️

What a beautiful piece! I find your work beautiful and heartening, often punctuated by a resounding “yes!” We live in SE MN and the smoke from the wildfires in Alberta has been creating a haze here and diminishing air quality. Though today is better than yesterday. The smoke isn’t worried about tariffs or lines on a map or conflict; it just goes where the wind blows. At this point in my life, I take my stand calling my congress critters and other gov’t officials; crowds overwhelm me.

I take a stand with others nearly every Saturday outside of the Tesla store near us..
It’s a wonder to hear the cruel and disparaging comments angrily hurled our way. Such language! But we do not engage. We stand our ground and attempt to educate. One particularly nasty woman stood looking out the Tesla store window, shouting something about we should be ashamed of ourselves, whereby I blew her a soft, kind kiss. She did not know what to do with that.
What to do with kindness and compassion…

It’s a time when we must choose where we want to be and where we want to go and most of all who we want to take with us. In the end we need to stand in our own light and our own truth. That won’t be for everyone and that’s ok. Those attracted to your light will stay/come and the others will wander off into the dark. From a personal side I’ve let friends of many decades go and I’m ok with it.

  10. The star is strong & the clouds are beautiful and comforting. We need both. I’m eager to see what else emerges, what answers there are.
And I’m also considering the risks of not taking a stand!
