Rainy Day

So,  you might be tired of seeing him here. So am I.  I need another chair.

He is snoring.

I gave my son my juicer when I moved, wasn't using it.  It was a good one and he needed one.  He juices fresh ginger and tumeric with a few spices and freezes it in icecube trays. I have a tray in the freezer.   I use a mason jar and add hot water, 1 cube, some honey and lemon. So good.  But the pic.  The round top of the jar, but the square of yellow.  At first I said what?  And then, oh, okLove that twist of image.

The boy came by yesterday, to beat the rain and brought his sit on mower.  Made some paths for now.  This one goes up to the cabin. It's tick season and I have avoided the long grass. It's a beautiful walk.

Next, to clean the mouse shit and fix the door. And oh yeah, he left me the mower.

It is raining but since my sewing chair is occupied, I opted to go out and walk in the rain since there are paths.  I was sad yesterday to find a large frog that got caught under the mower.  It has been so wet and the grass got so long  it is hard to see what's there.  I woke up in the middle of the night and saw frog eyes  and couldn't go back to sleep.

I'll talk about this one soon.  I want to call it life might seem simple but it really isn't.

    Good afternoon Jude,
Wounded land filled with nature sounds. Perfect place to roam and gather thoughts and matter for dying cloth and the different types of leaves and grasses for eco printing.
Mowers to manage the jungle leave survival of the little creature in peril, but if left unmanaged, clipped for safe pathways for walking, lurking life threatening ticks and other things may restrict your adventures.
Lol! your square peg/ice in a round glass, I guess you can put a square in a round hole. That bit gave my a chuckle.
Love the new piece of stitching, I would look for a extra wide chair to accommodate you both.
Blessings for the beginning of our new month.

I really like the stitching above, the house on the waves. You have a way with composition. Last night I chased a large frog/toad out of my garage, maybe when you woke up.

This one came together a little differently. Want to talk about that.
The frogs are so big here, by the pond. The look right at you.

Don’t know how far you are from civilization, but I got my like new chairs in the past year locally on FB marketplace and ReStore. Pricing was ridiculously inexpensive and both suit so well. Just an idea.

My latest “new” chair was made in the early 90s according to a manufacturing tag I found on the underside. It is literally like new. Fits in a wee corner of my kitchen by the slider window. Perfect lighting for stitching.

I never tire of seeing beautiful Soul-o. Your glorious green paths look as if they reach into forever. I’m sorry about the poor frog. I always worry about striking a hidden creature with the mower. The best thing I saw today was a Roosevelt elk crossing a pasture with her very young little one bouncing through the grass to catch up with her.

Intriguing new patch. And a special chair of your own for the new home sounds just right … a “just right” chair. Perhaps a yard sale find or an estate sale treasure. On its way to you …

      I left so much behind.
But I had too much. I’m going to look around, yes, find something preloved and rescue it from loneliness.

I’m living in 300 sq. feet with 2 dogs 2 cats. I think I may be bat shit crazy to say I love it, but I do. It’s startling how little we truly need, or better yet want.

Love the lush green trail! How beautiful the haze is in the back area.
Soul-O feels comfortable in your chair .. he finds your scent relaxing.
The new work is lovely! Sure understand about having so many things needing attention here at home. One Day At A Time… ladies alone or that have little help .. understand! Extremely thankful for what abilities I still have these days!
Always … thank you for sharing beautiful scenery! My cat brings me live lizards.. and I have to chase them to release them back to the wild.
    Take care!

Yes, I think it is smell.
I am so grateful to be able to mostly take care of myself.
At least the lizards are alive!

Wonderful paths to walk; I”m green with envy. Wishing for some of your rain too; it’s 100 today.
Scooter and I share my chair. Sometimes he needs a gentle nudge.

Seems it’s gonna dry out and warm up fast, so I’ll enjoy the moody cool damness…
He just recently changed his habits, if I grab the chair, he jumps on my lap. Or on my sewing .

  8. Nice to have mown paths. I have to find a new person to mow as I can’t do it anymore, and the guy that did it last year can’t this year. It’s a grass jungle out there. That kind of thing – the mower getting the frog – can upset me a lot. Life is definitely a wild ride.

I just love the green .. so vibrant. Sounds like your settling in to your fascinating home Jude 💖
    Love the stitched piece 🌷

Be super careful when you clean up the mouse dirt please, the virus thing that goes along with that.
Life will never be simple no matter what we do, we can “simplify” but that’s the best we can do if we want to continue to live on this earth with other humans. Yikes.

Yes, I am actually going to get help with that. Rodents are awful…
Yikes is right. Things are falling apart, keep your needle threaded…

Nearly every day this month has been rainy or cloudy. I’m pretty tired of it, especially since our basement flooded and we haven’t had hot water for several days. At least it’s not cold weather and I’ve been heating water on the stove. Another surprise expense…guess that’s life in general.

I’ve never seen so much rain, so many dark days. I have lots of issues here with flooding. Work need to be done, expenses piling up. Yes, life, at least there are no wildfires. Yet.

Love the green paths! and soul-o just needs his own old pillow for the floor and you can get your chair back! 😁
