The sun came up, and out.
I went out first thing and finished the wood clean up by 7:30. With coffee. It's gonna rain again for days, starting tomorrow. I'll plant some seeds.
The chips at the bottom are such good kindling.
The rest of the morning was spent making mailing tubes from old moving boxes. I'm not moving again unless someone carries me out.
Ok, time to begin again.

Ingenious mailing tubes. I made cat tunnels with our cardboard.
Good evening Jude,
Snippets of life seem to carry us through. I also planted a few things today. In February. I had a tomato go toes up so to speak. It had been an amazing tasting one from the local little market. Instead of tossing it in the trash I retrieved the seeds. Drying them on a paper towel. On the new moon of March I sowed them in an empty egg carton, the pressed paper kind not Styrofoam. Not knowing if they were going to sprout. To my astonishment they popped out little green
leaves 7 days after planting. I Baby the dozen plants, faithfully turning them to get sun every day. We’ll see what comes from this little adventure. Tomorrow I’ll plant cucumber seeds… I’m in a wheelchair so raised beds are a bonus. Good evening Jude
Blessings and peace.

Nice repurposing! I wonder about a tiny house in the back garden. That might be a good move someday.
I am so grateful for the glimpses into your life and art all the way from Australia.
You inspire me to see the beauty and mystery in every day.
I am glad my little sharings can be useful to others. Thank you for saying.
Your tubes are brilliant. Just last night I said how grateful I was for our calm uneventful lives (knock wood).
Keep knocking.
It feels so off to be buying mailing supplies with all the paper and cardboard being recycled. Or not.
Jude~ Love the ghost lamp!
😀
I love the shadows on the lampshade. So fleeting.
Yes, a new design each sunny morning, then poof!
Hello..
I have been using my old shipping boxes to line my raised planting beds.
Helps with the water retention in the hot weather.
Certainly like using discardables for new purposes. You are very cleaver! I have to give it a go.
Yeah for new flowering seeds! Trying to help grow some potatoes in cardboard boxs… working out well .. they are about to flower then dry before harvest. Enjoyable to watch!
Planning for several days of rain and storms also.
Time for happy needles!
Take Care!
Yes, I’ve been using them for planning out garden spaces.
I’ve never really grown potatoes on purpose but they have sprouted form peels in the compost!
Rain is better than no rain, right?
You always send a beautiful photo(s) for a daily look at life. Hopefully, we can all find a moment of beauty in our own daily lives.
It’s there. Always. Amazing really.
Good repurposing. I save and alter a lot of stuff, especially for mailing things. It was warm today for a few hours. I opened up the house, now I’m closing it up again, ha!
Yeah, reached 70 today but cooling off already
I love your handmade mailers!
❤️
So satisfying…

I’m with you on the moving thing! Hubby and I agree – leave us be until it’s ready to cart our carcasses away!
Seed planting is happening here too, only just Nasturtiums, maybe some Chives, Basil and Cilantro.
Hope the rains are gentle and nourishing to the seeds.
Should more like a drizzle.
Good day, Jude. Another day, another opportunity to begin again. Love your self-constructed, upcycled mailing tubes. So much of our lives is filled with the old Zen saying: “Chop wood, carry water.” Although in my case, like yours, it is carry wood, fill bird baths. Thank you for carrying on with your posts. Take care!
Yes, happy to be alive and well and just going.
Plain old days are the real ones. Those are nice wood chips! What seeds will you be planting in this New Moon time?
I have a bag of native wildflower seeds, but also Japanese indigo and clover and creeping thyme.
Hello, Jude. 🍀
