In it

It's cold. I'm old.

I am thinking about how much I've learned about keeping warm.  That certainly wouldn't have happened if I moved to some condo in Florida.  I'm grateful for all I am learning, even if it isn't easy.

fire in May

I'm right here.

A sense of yesterday and tomorrow, but really, just Now.

I've named him Chuck. He loves the dandelion stems.  I like the leaves.

WordPress is not functioning properly.  More learning. Yay!

Sun today in SE Michigan after 3 very gloomy days. My spirits needed the boost. Hopefully brighter days are headed your way as well Jude. I like your approach of just going with the wildlife in your yard…so much better than having to worry about matching wits with them.

Chuck looks like he could be more fun than a barrel full of monkeys. Be sure to keep on the look-out for falling trees.

Cold here too. Only got up to 54, cloudy, little spitty rain off and on, and windy. Miserable to be outside trying to get a little bit more yard work done.

And here is Jude, just going in the moment. I feel some of your old rhythm returning.
We still think that old woodchuck commercial is hysterical – the one where the man yells at the woodchuck: “Hey you woodchuck, quit chucking my wood” and the woodchuck looks right at him and chucks one more! He said it again while looking at your pic. 😂
Here we are already into some heat – high 80’s – low 90’s. I’m hoping for that good old June Gloom as it is called, otherwise it will be a looong summer!

      Ha, woodchucks are hysterical anyway.
A lot of heat expected, but it isn’t like being in a city. And lots of shade.

  4. I’m grateful for the cool and rain keeping down the pollen so I can still take walks. And then once the heat and humidity come, I’m less functional. I saw the detail on the beast’s tail as a compass.

“i’m grateful for all i am learning, even if it isn’t easy”… YES!!! somehow lessons in survival feel more real. reminders of the delicate equation of life… the stitches on the beast’s back resemble weaving. can hardly wait to see u get back into it. a deep dive into a true self. chuck looks like a fun bud!…

Ah! He’s a woodchuck! ( With his spiky fur, I thought “porcupine” 😅)
We had a cold front move through; it was 60 this morning! 🤣
    I love your beastie selves🤎

  7. I was just laughing at myself, thinking it was cold and that I wanted to turn on the heat but it’s May and it’s not that time of year but if it were November I would. 🙂 I’ve been collecting dandelion stems for twinning.

Living in the moment is what I try to do, trying to clear out all the distractions!
Glad you’re feeling better, and like your furry friends!
    💙✌🏼

    Hello from Florida..
I was wondering if you had an air filter running in your house???
I know that when there is nothing removing or recycling the air I am prone to allergies and chest congestion. Certainly don’t want you have a
    recurrence of your recent bout.
Love the spring green grass and your little friend”Chuck”.
    Be Well!
