It's cold. I'm old.
I am thinking about how much I've learned about keeping warm. That certainly wouldn't have happened if I moved to some condo in Florida. I'm grateful for all I am learning, even if it isn't easy.
A sense of yesterday and tomorrow, but really, just Now.
I've named him Chuck. He loves the dandelion stems. I like the leaves.
WordPress is not functioning properly. More learning. Yay!

Sun today in SE Michigan after 3 very gloomy days. My spirits needed the boost. Hopefully brighter days are headed your way as well Jude. I like your approach of just going with the wildlife in your yard…so much better than having to worry about matching wits with them.
Yeah, let it be is my new motto.
I just don’t see you in a condo in Florida–ever.
Ha, probably not.
Chuck looks like he could be more fun than a barrel full of monkeys. Be sure to keep on the look-out for falling trees.
Cold here too. Only got up to 54, cloudy, little spitty rain off and on, and windy. Miserable to be outside trying to get a little bit more yard work done.
40 here. A break from gardening.
Just looking at that fire makes me warm.
Cute little critter; I don’t think we have them out here.
They are everywhere here, a nuisance really. But hey…
And here is Jude, just going in the moment. I feel some of your old rhythm returning.
We still think that old woodchuck commercial is hysterical – the one where the man yells at the woodchuck: “Hey you woodchuck, quit chucking my wood” and the woodchuck looks right at him and chucks one more! He said it again while looking at your pic. 😂
Here we are already into some heat – high 80’s – low 90’s. I’m hoping for that good old June Gloom as it is called, otherwise it will be a looong summer!
Ha, woodchucks are hysterical anyway.
A lot of heat expected, but it isn’t like being in a city. And lots of shade.
I’m grateful for the cool and rain keeping down the pollen so I can still take walks. And then once the heat and humidity come, I’m less functional. I saw the detail on the beast’s tail as a compass.
Yeah, pollen is down, a bit of flooding here, I miss living on a hill.
A compass. Yes.
Hope not too bad flooding. I live on a hill, highest point on the road. And, I don’t have a basement, so not a lot of flooding.
It’s ok, the house is on a bump of land, just the road in need to be regraded.
“i’m grateful for all i am learning, even if it isn’t easy”… YES!!! somehow lessons in survival feel more real. reminders of the delicate equation of life… the stitches on the beast’s back resemble weaving. can hardly wait to see u get back into it. a deep dive into a true self. chuck looks like a fun bud!…
Sewing, to me, is weaving, some stitching styles make that more obvious.
Ah! He’s a woodchuck! ( With his spiky fur, I thought “porcupine” 😅)
We had a cold front move through; it was 60 this morning! 🤣
I love your beastie selves🤎
He does look very spiky in the rain.
I thought he was a porcupine too..R we sure Chuck is a woodchuck?
Yeah, really common up here.
I was just laughing at myself, thinking it was cold and that I wanted to turn on the heat but it’s May and it’s not that time of year but if it were November I would. 🙂 I’ve been collecting dandelion stems for twinning.
I had the same kind of moment!
There are so many dandelios here, fields…I was going to try some twining too
Living in the moment is what I try to do, trying to clear out all the distractions!
Glad you’re feeling better, and like your furry friends!
💙✌🏼
Are you selling anymore beast magic thread keepers?
Not at the moment but I have one in the works for you here.💚
🙂thank you!
Just been a bit slow lately…🙃😂
Me too! 😶🌫️
😀
“Going lightly requires no plan” is going up on my refrigerator .
I feel lighter already
Hello from Florida..
I was wondering if you had an air filter running in your house???
I know that when there is nothing removing or recycling the air I am prone to allergies and chest congestion. Certainly don’t want you have a
recurrence of your recent bout.
Love the spring green grass and your little friend”Chuck”.
Be Well!
Ha!
Yes, I have a filter. Helps a lot. Raining so much, pollen is low!
Chuck looks like good company.
Its been cooler here then usual. I am telling myself summerheat is around the corner and cool will be longed for.
I really like the detailwork on your creatures back.
Ooops, wrong place. Oh well
Who cares? 😂
Yes, I’m thinking the same thing. Supposed to be a scorcher, hard to imagine right now. I’m enjoying the density of that detail.
Morning 🌅! I will look up Dandelion twining…is it like Daisy chains?
A—DORable Woodchuck!!! We have Nutria around here. Huge, and rarely seen. So grateful for the wildlife…
You can make cordage and baskets from dandelion stems.
Hello Jude. 🌳
👋
I have never seen a woodchuck. Cute little stem-eater.
Oh. My. Yesterday and tomorrow, inspired by the constellation beast? Marvelous pondering and creating going on in the roundhouse in the woods.
There are so many here, but I’ve only met one so far . Yes the constellation beast has offered many new ideas.
