A little hello is in order.
I've been ill.
Not through it yet. Lung and sinus infection. And antibiotics don't fare well with me.
There have been low moments and not much energy and way too much rain.
I'm embracing it (as my son has advised) and just (not) going much. Riding the wave. As Dad always put it.
It took about 10 days to stitch this bit of spring wishing.
It makes me smile to know that I did.
I'd love to talk but that won't work right now.
Just taking the time I need.

Glad to know that you are recovering. Take all the time you need.
Being here might be part of that.
Dear Jude, I’m just now seeing your message, and though sorry you’ve been so ill, I’m glad your health trend is on the upswing. Yes, a bleeding heart is exactly the appropriate flower for these heart-breaking times. I’m sending additional loving healing wishes to surround you.
Sending virtual gentle hugs, cool mist vaporizer and homemade chicken soup.
Can only echo all the messages that precede mine…such a relief to see your post. Thank you for taking to update us…I know when I don’t feel well the last thing I want to do is communicate with anyone in any fashion so your post is especially appreciated. I hope you feel back to your usual self soon…in the meantime, rest and heed your son’s sound advice to embrace the need to care for your self (that he probably learned from you).
Wishing you all the healing you’ll need. Take care and all the time for your recovery.
So sorry you’re not feeling well. Take care and get plenty of rest.
Love you Jude 💙💙💙
Hi Jude
Sending you lots of hugs & love 🥰 the little piece you stitched is just so lovely 🌞🌷
One day at a time 🌺heal well Xxx
Maria
Get well soon. Stay hydrated. Enjoy the sun.
We needed the rain here badly, it was so dry.
My friends husband set his grass on fire three weeks ago. Fortunately he and his neighbor were able to put it out with their hoses. Was a scare with all the fires happening in NJ.

Please take all the time you need…Wishing you warmth, kindness and more comfort… as you day by day get stronger and well.
Discovering that beauty heals the spirit.
Dear Jude, Warm wishes to you for a steady and full recovery. Be well soon. Thank you for sharing your steadfast wishing star & bleeding hearts.
All the best as you heal! Loved the bleeding hearts and the symbolism. I wonder if they would grow in a pot on my deck.
Yes, lung stuff can be about grief. the body doing what the body needs to do maybe. wishing you warm sunny clear sky days .
Sending some sunshine, warmth and lots of love……………….
I’m sorry to hear you have been ill. Hope you are better soon.
The older one gets, the harder it is to get well again.
I love the stitching project; it inspires me when I feel sorry for myself for not accomplishing more.
Broken hearts
Thanks for letting us know you are ok (ish ) getting ill is scary and very frustrating at our age as we seem to take forever to mend !. Thank goodness your family is at hand .All the best for a quick recovery hugs from across the pond xxxxx
Dearest Jude, you are held dearly by so many of us. All this good cheer coming your way is because you have and do offer us lessons in carrying on….one step after another. Pausing and resting is part of how to carry on . You are precious to me.
The bleeding hearts and artists… 🙏❤️
I feel you Jude. I’m about a month out from a week of Influenza A and then a week of pneumonia. It can take you down fast. The worse part for me was the loss of energy. Regaining strength every day as it sounds you are. Take good care…as we ride the wave. Love to you ❤️
Take it slow and heal thoroughly Jude. Love that you continued to stitch…that’s wonderful.. so unlike myself..sending healing thoughts. And yes bleeding hearts for the 100 days of tragedy…🥲
Be well! The bleeding hearts are perfect for the moment.
Love, as always.:).
Same thing going on here. Went to doctor for annual check up, blood tests etc. Feeling fine going in. Figure we caught it at the hospital. Took a good 2 weeks to feel normal.
Take Care and take it easy Jude.
I am struggling with a virus that knocked me out for two weeks. I understand. Take care of yourself.
i experienced something similar recently. a saline nasal spray quickly reversed my symptoms. amazing, really. your cloth of spring wishing is sew lovely. a healing patch for a “rough patch”. this too will pass, jude. sending love… x
Healing thoughts…
Lots of love your direction. 💖🌷💖
Sorry you are feeling down – in health, mood, and spirit. I hope the wave brings you to smoother waters soon.
Hoping you’re 100% again soon!
Best wishes!
Oh so sorry to hear that you have been unwell. Be sure to take your time getting better. Too often we get impatient and start doing stuff before we are truly out of the woods which increases the recovery time.
Just be easy on yourself.
Take time to fully recover. Rest up and enjoy the signs of Spring appearing around your new home.
That little delicate patch seems to encapsulate your 💘feelings. Thank you🙏🌹❤
Hi Jude. Sorry to hear you have been ill. Take care of yourself. x
Take all the time you need to get well. It always surprises me that I can’t heal as fast as I did when I was young(er). What a precious plant.
Hope you feel a little stronger each day💞💐
Your little stitched piece makes me want to walk right into it and look out the window!
The bleeding heart is beautiful 🦋☀️
Jude, I’m grateful that your recovery allowed you to check in. Being sick is lonely, it’s good that your son is nearby, he gave you good advice, likely the same that you’ve given him. And even ill you stitched! And it’s beautifully hopeful for the spring is here and the hummingbirds have arrived to the Atlantic provinces! Hope you’re all well soon Jude. Love..
Big big love to you.
Hi Jude, I am so glad you are taking good care of yourself, and doing what will help you the most. As so many of us have said here, ” Take all the time you need “. Being sick with infections is no fun, and can get complicated. I am sending you warm thoughts, and strength too. And whispering to Soul-O to keep an eye on you, and stay close.
All week, and longer, I looked for your email. And wondered how you were doing. So many people, perhaps all over the world, have warm thoughts of you daily. We are caring for you too.🌅💜☀️
Jude, sending you many heartfelt hugs 🫂 during this time.
Your dad was a wise man, mine would say “just gargle the damn salt water” but he was right, I was forever plagued with lung/chest infections as a kid.
Take all the time you need, thank you for checking in with us all, as you can see their are many of us who care & think of you often & just want to make sure your ok.
Stay warm, be kind to yourself, get lots of cuddles from Soul-O.
Your spring piece ✨️ is beautiful.
Your terribly sick, yet still stitching, you never cease to amaze me.
Many souls wishing you love & a speedy recovery xx 🙏🫶
I have heard it said that lungs are the organ that help us process and release grief. May there be warm and sunny days soon. I love the feeling of an old-fashioned hot water bottle on my chest when it is hurting. Be well, be warm … and you already be wonderful. 😂❤️
Sending you love, the light of healing, and oodles of spring flowers.
Oh my goodness being sick sucks. You’ll get through this. Wishing you healthy days ahead and the warm weather Spring will bring.
Your Spring tribute is so beautiful!
Sending you wishes for a speedy recovery and lots of sunshine 🌞
Letting us know how you are is so kind of you. Take all the time you need and then, take more. As the weather changes and hopefully ,the rains lessen and the days get drier and warmer, take yourself out into you new land and simply breathe…we all need to take these pauses, especially now, for you have grandsons to share this wondrous new place you call home.
I find especially, as I get on in my 77th year., that the spirit is fierce but the flesh is weak. The fire in the belly still rages for our beloved country but the will to take to the streets is jut not there for many reasons so it was with a jolt of joy that my grandson informed me that he had written some words of secondary feminism. He is a twin, he and his sister will be 16 yrs old on the 21st of this month. He calls himself a secondary feminist in part because he says he has a Mom, a Grandma, a sister and a girlfriend and he especially would so love to be marching in the streets with me, his Grandma…thought you might get a kick out of this for you have 2 grandsons who will surprise you by their actions and love and so we go, actually, and these days, virtually, as best we can!
I have a bleeding heart plant. I ordered white but they sent pink. I didn’t know it was pink until after it bloomed the first year. It is really happy where it is and has become a bush. I don’t coddle it, it just has done so well. This year’s shoots have begun to pop up.
Sending my best wishes and thanks Jude, as always
Rest well! Take all the time you need. I have a bleeding heart bush my mother gave me many many years ago that continues to bloom faithfully each spring. Bleeding hearts are in my blood. I find myself living with a quote from Tolkien, ‘ “I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” Sometimes I find small acts of care – a nap, some stitching, petting a dog – are what gets me through.
So sorry to hear you are under the weather, Jude…keep an eye on that. I will be protesting again in front of the Tesla store in Southlake tomorrow. It is something I must do.
Sending positive thoughts…💚💚💚
Best wishes for your speedy recovery. I missed your thoughtful and beautiful posts.
Sending virtual flowers 🌼 and virtual soup 🍜. ❤️
So sorry Jude … I hope you’re on the mend soon!
💙 and a little peaceful stitching.
I was thinking about you for the past “quiet” days and wondering. May the warm sunshine bring you healing and fill you up with energy.
Darling little joyful piece, I have some crush on those small flower patterned fabrics these days!
Ugh, sorry to hear this! Sending love and good wishes. Yes, tons of rain… for me, it is at least keeping the pollen at bay for now. Rest and take good care! 🧡
Letting the healing take its own time is not so easy, as I’m learning too; I love the beautiful square. Sending you lots of love〰️Suzanna 🪷🌸🪷
Sending healing thoughts and love. Get well soon.
Rest and feel better we miss you !!
As if, not being happy with our country.. then being sick.. makes it a double whammy.
Prayers for a continued improvement! Many many thoughts from so many of us to speed your recovery!
We are so happy to just get a note from you!
Ahh – wishing you healing there will be a spring in your step soon
Bleeding hearts, such a name for plants so beautiful …
So much beautiful stitching where there’s, well, you know, so much heartbreak ❤️🩹
Holding you in the light, friend, this too shall mend.
Sending healing thoughts and love.
No explanations are necessary. But sharing your challenges does send a lot of love your way.
Spring is beautiful. I have decided that May is my favorite month because so many new shoots come out of the ground, so many new leaves unfurl, so many planted seeds are finally sprouting.
I hope experiencing this rebirth is aiding your healing.
Feel better soon. The sun will soon be out again.
Jude~ Aw, sorry to hear this. Lung stuff is hard. Your wish cloth is charming. Love the different fabrics together. Take all the time you need (of course, you don’t need me to say that! haha) and feel better soon. xo
It is a messed up world but then something beautiful and inspiring comes along, such as your little small stitched piece of Spring. I hope your illness passes soon, take care.
Sometimes the shit really hits us hard. Sounds like you need all the rest and quiet stitching.🤎
Hello Jude. Get well soon. On the crest of the wave. 🍀
