Here it's a no fire day. And so we move out of keep the fire going season into tick season.
And fix the porch roof season has arrived. So beautiful in its decay though... I'm thinking of using old windows to create a drier enclosed space. Maybe a mudroom/ greenhouse/ porch/woodshed.
I'll take this down now, it held up well, weathering the storms and keeping the rain off the firewood. Faded a bit, but ready for some more story. I will put up a clothes line. Wash and air out the big cloths. Introduce them to their new home.

Thank you for your onion and celery process. I, too, have not started seeds yet, but would like to do zinnias as the deer usually do not eat them. So glad you can sleep through the night. Great idea to use old glass panes to keep the area dry. Find someone that is replacing their old fashion storm windows.

Adequate sleep is essential for feeling positive about anything I think. I have a whole head of garlic that sprouted and a big yellow onion. I’m going to plant all of that. Will get me garlic scapes and onion seeds at least.

I love, love, love the idea of introducing all of your big cloths to this new land.
So lovely to see Spring springing in a new place… wondering and watching. Two good things to do on a daily basis. And still a few surprises for me every year even though I have been in one place for a few years now. A redbud tree decided to grow in a new spot a couple of years ago and it is already several feet tall – amazing! Thanks for sharing all your new wonders with us.

A screened porch would be nice to keep the deer flies off of you. Maybe some screen panels that can be replaced with windows for winter.
There is another screened porch ot back, which needs work also…
I think a few windows on this one should have screens, definitely…
