And so

It's a bit warmer.  So I went to bed early and let the fire go out for a changeJust to sleep through.  I woke up to this.

This wall will come down in a few months.  It was put up when this place was an Airbnb, like other space choppers,  just to have another sleeping space.  I want to open it up.  I'll poke holes in it for a while, just to look, keep track of loose thoughts and uncoverings.

And so, the Putnam Valley  house has been sold and  the closing is soon.  The whole process moved way faster than expected.  There is last minute stuff to do.  At least one more trip to clean out the rest of the stuff is necessary.  And this and that.  And mixed emotions.

I will take some time away.

And guess who is almost 2?  Party!

See you later.

TWO!? How brilliant that you get to see him grow.
So glad your house sold, and I hope the emotions will be gentle.
    Soul-O….you’re a comedian 🥰
Consider yourself hugged dear Jude. ♥️

The comfort of small things …

Soul-O and Bruno are beautiful distractions for a worrisome brain.

Things to lean into while tying together those loose ends.

Sending love to you Jude xx

Hey — I wake up like that too! Eyes staring….
2 already; Two-year olds have always delighted me. Everything is so new and exciting for them.

    The number 2 :
Two houses, now one, and the round one that is now Home will be filled with wonderful memories as the days progress. The Irish have a wonderful blessing that goes like this:
    May your troubles be less,
    And your blessings be more.
    And nothing but happiness
    Come through your door.

    The number 2:
Jude and Soul-0, two who live in a magical, round house, circling around, learning this new place, marking it and making it their own.

    The number 2:
A little boy turning 2, delighting his Grandma as he frolicks in the snow. Bruno, coming into his own, exploring his world and the joy of having his Grandma by his side. As the late environmentalist and author Rachel Carson said:” If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder without any such gift from the fairies, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in.” Bruno will have you Jude as his special wonder person

    The number 2:
Today is especially fitting to celebrate 2 as it is my husbands 82nd birthday. While he is not frolicking in the snow, it came quickly here in New Mexico, just a smattering, and left just as quickly, there is that little boy in him, who, although a native of Minnesota and so used to snow, always gets a big smile on his face when he hears the word snow.

Wow, that was fast! And now you have to go through the going back and leaving again, just now when the wound is barely scabbed over. I’m sorry you have to do all of that. It will be a relief after. And celebrating 2! What a fun distraction!!

Little ones..what magic they have..how we are just so in the moment when with them!
We hv a pretty new little one in the family …stops me in my tracks!;)
    Going back….never an easy thing..
Take care Jude ..to go back as softly as we can let possible..
    ..and then leave.

Happy Birthday to Mr. 2!! 💕
Congrats on the house, even with mixed feelings, it must be a relief to have that almost done.
I’m imagining clotheslines strung from wood post to wood beam (or whatever) as your new looking lines.

such relief (‘n release) to have to have the PV house sold! tyin’ the loose ends ‘n walkin’ away for the last time can be freeing. for me, tears are like a shower on the inside. the celebration of bruno’s birth can also be an honoring of your new life beginning. i feel with all my heart it’s gonna be better than u can even imagine! yeah, party on! x

You woke up to Soul-o perched on top of you. That seems like the perfect way to wake up. One of my cats often does that. I love it.

I can imagine how getting your old house sold would be emotional for you. But now you will be free (no more dangling threads) to really settle into your new space and make it your home.

Bruno looks adorable and it will be so much fun for you to interact with him and watch him grow.

Bruno is adorable. I wish he could meet my almost-two granddaughter Wrenli. She was playing in the snow the other day, loving it. It’s almost gone now! Severing the last ties is bittersweet…

  12. Love seeing these things together, how they are all at different stages of creation. A kind of birth. Maybe each move we make is that way too?

Happy Birthday Bruno! So few of the children at the center have grandparents that are regularly a part of their lives. I think it is such a good thing for all of you to be closer. 🙂

It’s good to see them like an unsolved puzzle
It is a good thing for kids to experience a full range of human experience. My son and I were just talking about that.

Can it be?! Time marches on…Bruno almost two! Aww, he’s so darling!! 😍
Warmer there, colder here…woke to a world of white…heavy frost blanketing everything.
“Congrats” on the sale of the Putnam Valley house…I completely understand the mixed emotions.
Take your time, we are here when you need us

    Where does the time go?!
And things change at such a rapid pace, it’s crazy. Keeping two homes is a lot to deal with, I’m happy for you that it sold but understand the emotional side of it too.
    sending hugs,
    💛

Your grand baby is adorable. I love seeing little ones bundled up in the snow. We had snow here in south central Virginia and seeing the children bundled up on their sleds just warms my heart.
