Wishing you all the strength you can possibly muster. What a year you’ve had. Sending hugs to you and Soul-O, Judith.
I adore your work, your sketches and thoughts.

  2. Julie Windred

Hugs, and lots of love to you and Soul O-across the ocean and over the miles from an Aussie who appreciates you very much. Take care. Xx

thanks for sharing, jude…. as we walk this path with you, we feel your pain ‘n applaud your going. as you go, we go. one step at a time. no agenda. no expectations. but very much connected. woven together, like cloth. spirit cloth. sending big love to both you ‘n soul-o…

Thinking of you, and Soul-O and sending Love, Light & Healing your way.
    (Poor Soul-O 😱…Bodhi & Kahlo send hugs for healing!😻😻🤍)
Change can be so damned chaotic.
And I am tired of the heat, too! 🥵

    💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

  5. Hearing your voice calmed my heart tonight.
You shouldn’t have to go forward this way, but you’re still going forward. Hugs to you and head scratchies to Soul-O.

My goodness how much I love listening to your voice .. not always loving the words. Certainly not hearing about Soul-O poor thing .. and you having that whole sinus thing to deal with besides all the other stuff happening. I feel so blessed to have you here .. if it’s worth anything at all I think you’re amazing and always send you thoughts of big love and even bigger BLESSINGS!!

best wishes for recovery to soul-o. our pets mean so much to us.

while not as many, my 3rd dog ate a bee about 2 weeks after i got him which really traumatized him for some years: i basically could not pet him on his head for over 10 years.

  7. Oh no, not Soul-o! I’m so sorry to hear of his plight, and yours too. You have really had to deal with too much lately and I am worried about you, although the sound of your voice is a comfort. I know how hard it is to focus and accomplish even small things when everything is whirling about you. Best wishes for continued improvement for both you and Soul-o and better weather all around.

  8. Maria

Sending you love & healing energy for beautiful
    Soul O, Jude 💗😻.
Life can be a really tough sometimes .. then all will be well 🌷🌼🌸

  9. Sara

Blessings and good wishes to wonderful you and sweet Soul-O. Thinking of you both in favorite places surrounded by trees and quilts. May you enjoy cool early mornings together.

  10. Madelyne

So sorry to hear of Soul-O’s misfortunate. Have you tried putting Rescue Remedy drops in his water to combat shock?

  11. Marilee

Dear Soul-O. Hoping he recovers quickly. I know he’s a comfort to you and it hurts to see him suffering. I would hate to leave that little homestead where you are, but there’s something to be said for living closer to family. The idea of moving, though, is just so daunting to me.
    Take care.

  12. Jude~ A simple set of words for a simple response. I understand and wrap you in love. I stand with the other ragmates in their responses. I stand with you in spirit, strength and empathy. We stand.
    Much love to you
    xo

Oh Jude. I’m so sorry things have been so rough. Thanks for sharing that with us. I know from experience that vertigo is no joke. Holding you and Soul-o in the light.

  14. Veena

Some seasons don’t have a clear name..and they are the tough going ones. All I can say is it’s so good to hear you and listen quietly to the sounds inbetween your words….
Spring does come silently…on cat feet..it definately comes.
    Heartfelt wishes.

  15. Stephanie

Going back to listen more but listened to the Soul-o update first. I’m wishing him a full recovery from this dreadful experience. How we feel emotionally attached to someone we’ve never actually met may seem presumptuous but I’ve always loved “following” Soul-o. So I’m wishing you both the very best in the days to come.

  16. Judy

Jude, it’s a delight to hear your voice. I hear sadness but also amazingly, given all you’re dealing with, resilience. Changes aren’t easy. Some of us really struggle. Aging, life changes, humidity, ill pets. I do hear hope in your voice which made me think “if Jude can manage all of this, I can manage my stuff too”. Hopefully Soul-o rallies, it’s so difficult when the pets aren’t well. He’s a lovely boy. Sending hugs.

  17. Anita L

So sorry to hear about Soul-O. Hope he makes a good recovery. And that your luck turns soon and that there are better times ahead for you. So nice to hear your voice and all the updates. xx

  18. Heather S

Oh no Soul-o! I only had time to listen through the Soul-o story, will have to pop back here later when I get a break. But that is heartbreaking to hear especially while your heart was already broken. I hope he recovers. So difficult to watch our friends suffer. And this insufferable heat can suck it. I have also become insufferable.

  19. Bernadine Reeb

Jude, thanks for sharing even though it’s hard to. Just know that as a group we understand how hard it’s been for you in one way or another. My hope for you is that you are not alone in the actual moving process and that you have someone you trust who will help relieve that stress.

  20. Beth O

Oh, Jude! So glad to hear your voice, but so sorry all of this is happening around you. We’re struggling with climate change here in the west, too.
July was nothing but intense heat & then the wildfires came. Terrible air quality, the sun blocked out by smoke. We’ve never had a summer like this before.
Life sure has handed you an awful lot of “stuff” all at once! Thanks for sharing your life & your beautiful art. Hang in there . . . the seasons will change, and once again there will be beauty all around.

  21. Helen Lee

Gosh Jude…that’s a hell of a lot to endure. Your strength and resilience shines through though. Hoping and wishing for an easier time for you, and for you and Soul-O to get really well again.
Absolutely love Regenerative Legs….A ReGreening 💚💚💚
Love to you and The Cat 💙♥️💚

  22. Nancy D

Oh, Jude. Sorry to hear of Soul-o’s run-in with the wasps…eek!!! But Cats are resilient and, as we all know, being of a certain age, healing takes time…
I myself am selfish in the hopes you stay where you are, at least through Spring. Your homestead is so beautiful and peaceful, wonderful for the healing Soul.

  23. Victoria

Oh my. I didn’t realize that things were going so awry for you. Some stuff came through but the whole ball of wax for you has been and continues to be pretty much crazy and discombobulating. I guess a person just has to go with the punches and go on to the next thing. I’m hoping that things in your life will even out and you will have time and clarity to go on to the next step wherever that takes you.

Take care. Things inevitably change and I’m hoping that your coming changes improve things for you.

Give Soul-o a good head scratch from me and hope to hear the he is getting better.

  24. Dee

Oh Jude! What a rough season. Thank you for sharing so much. As difficult as health, weather, transitions sound right now, I still hear the resilience you so capably embody. A willingness to be with things as they are.

I am heat intolerant. Period. Hard to walk the dog for usual distances because it’s so muggy. Plus we need to worry about the heat of the pavement. I hope Soul-o fully recovers.

I dislike AC too but these days it is a source of ongoing gratitude. It’s so gross out so much of the time now.

I think about next-comers with my garden too. I suspect that someone would come in and “unwild” it, planting the usual rhodies and exotic dogwoods. I tell myself that it just can’t get to me.

  25. Elizabeth Godin

My heart goes out to you.. when my fur babies are sick or failing .. my life is in over sensitive mode. Did you take him to the vet? Healing or recovering for our little friends is hard on their humans. Many many prayers for You and Soul-O.

  26. Suzy Hard

I used to think that in other parts of the world things would be different. But not. No matter where, we grow, we work, we paint, we sew, we live, we family, we have broken hearts, we love, we get sick, we start over. Seeds everywhere, new life and we grow, here in this earth school. We are one. I had the same lingering dizzying illness , as well a couple friends. Nasty. Crazy times? Glad you are feeling better.💞

  27. Julie Rutter

I’m sorry Soul-o hasn’t been well. Another worry on top of the other stuff you’re having to deal with.
Getting older is not fun when things stop working! It feels for me like a constant process of adapting to the new me…….
    Keep well Jude xx

  28. Ooh, my heart goes out to you and Soul-o! I’ve enjoyed all your posts over the years about him… being a “cat lady”, although retired now, I do adore him from afar! I hope you both weather the heat, and hope it will start to cool there soon. Our monsoons are starting up here in AZ again, an I’m very glad, because the heat gets to me too!

    • Cj

Read the many obstacles, yet sensed glimpses of hope and energy around you. I imagine SoulOs traumatic wasp attack is wearing hard on him. So painful, my husband put his hand in a nest, they’re relentless. Animals sure live our energy, knowing your guidance and love he’ll maneuver this by your side, together! Oh, and the blotch! Like you’re floating in an atmospheric imbalance, may the clouds open cooler dry breezes, and the move gets pressed out sooner than forecasted! Hoping for the same. Anyone  inheriting your labor and love in acreage should feel truly gifted. A rack = a trellis! Perfect! 🙌🤗💞
