Ding!
Sun on the old screen. It reminds me of thin cloth. I love thin cloth.
3 empty bottles. Three persons lost to me in one way or another. I love empty bottles. I play with them. Like game pieces.
Flower Moon. Always a big one for me. The swing toward summer. Her body dyed with fallen flowers last summer.
I like that this post has sun, moon and star. And self.

Flower moon…I brought home some black tulips today. I will probably try making ink with them. Thursday would be a good day to do that. 🙂
black tulip ink. sounds so right.
I love how cloth can capture and record a moment/season in a garden. How flowers from yr garden, that you have tended and loved, can be carried on cloth, How the 2 travel together.
it is so interesting that holding has so much with story.
Flower being has such lovely soft colors. We are having our week of 80s before the heat comes, flowers blooming like crazy; my favorite week of the year except for the allergies. Small price to pay I think.
it all has to be ok…
Jude, I especially like your comments about three: ” but three is the beginning of a path…” Yes….and I thought , as I read it , community…and the possibilities therein.
I am so glad to have way for those past words to remind me of my thoughts caught.
Community, possibility! Thank you for yours.
The porch bottles are so lovely there (I wish to have space like that). Bottles as memories. I see Michelle there 🙂 I had a dad bottle that I let go of in the big move. He’s still with me in different ways anyway. The way the lightness completely hugs the design and the squareness of her face. A harder edge, perhaps, but still such a softness about her. At this moment, she looks kindly determined.
I like looking through her to the garden.
I so enjoy cobalt blue bottles.
That’s a saki bottle!
Hmmmm…your bottle people are empty like ghosts. Transparent but reflecting. Holding only light and memories.
Spooky sometimes.
Beautiful bottles & sun/moon/star/self! My grandmother had a small collection of colored bottles in her kitchen window . . . so lovely to look at. The sun is finally out here, too . . . it was a long slog of a winter, so glad Spring has arrived. Thanks for posting, Jude! Hope you have a wonderful day!
I’ve always loved bottles. Mom used to drip wax on them and make candle holders. Yes it was a long winter in so many ways.
Yes, it was! Glad we all survived.
Mostly, we do!
Bottles are like baskets- holding things, including memories and light.
that blue one is Michelle.
💙
Lovely metaphor with the bottles…holding the spirts of three lost to you yet still reflecting light.
Yes, they work so well with those feelings.
Everyone should have colorful glass in a window somewhere! Ah, the Flower Moon, encouraging a flowering of the Self. And the Gardens right now! Such beauty!
yeah the lupine just began to open…
I find solice in the Tangible items associated with those that have been removed from my life. It is a sadness many times. Something to touch is soothing.
Flower Moon .. a beautiful beginning..
I love the symbol of containers. Something to touch, yes.
A flower moon is so dreamy.
I love the style of your work so much, are most of your cloths hand dyed?
What would be the best place to start in the forever zone for a newbie like me?
The best place to start might be the open classes listed on my site. if you have not already, spirit cloth 101. It is an old class which I plane to revisit as I move forward. There is a link to free and open content on the Home page which will take you here.

A lot of my basic approaches are there. I always rely on them as a base.
I will be making and introductory beginning post on Wednesday in the Zone and I can answer any questions about how to navigate..
Great, I’ve already worked through spirit cloth 101 – so useful and why I joined the forever zone.
I’ve just started Patchwork in Perspective too, I love your teaching method so much
Jen
and yes, most of my cloth is hand dyed, but I will be talking a lot about that as I begin the Zone posting again.
Yay! Yay for the forever zone and for the chance to answer questions. And for the hope that comes with middle-May.
Yay May
We have had a tremendously warm Victoria Day weekend here. Lots of planting in pots, and the opportunity for a dye garden.
Playing with smaller squares, perhaps more cabins.
Happy to see your gal in her summer wear.
Love to soul o

the warmth changes so many things
Bottles are beautiful in the sunlight, and seeing your cloth in the morning light is beautiful too! Hope your days ahead are full of sunshine 🌞 💙
look like a little too much heat on the way. but hey! ho!
