Just Because I am here

They come. Often.

crow

They are so hard to catch in a picture.

They always see me first.  I zoomed in from inside.

Sanity is still on the line. From yesterday. It rained last night. But it's blowing in the wind.

blowing in the wind.

The shadow of Sanity is bigger than Sanity itself.  Here, as I said that out loud, new eyesThere is a lot to say about the Sanity Series.  And I will. Saying stuff out loud as it comes to me helps complete the  thought catching  process. It joins what might be and what is and creates a Oneness.

What if Sanity is about Oneness?  A question for later...

Is oneness the same as being alone or is it a state of mind? I have often been alone but never lonely. After my divorce some forty years ago I always said he took everything but at least I escaped with my sanity.
I love the smell of clothes dried on the line but my doctor said not to during allergy season.

For me, oneness is not about being alone but being part of everything, so maybe a staye of mind.
The Man has left but in a hard to explain way, we are one. Maybe I will be able to share that story someday.
Yeah, my pillow cases were out yesterday and I’m a mess today.

  2. Ah, great crow capture! I try and try and try to capture the birds, so I can hold onto the feeling I get when I watch them. It usually doesn’t work. Your yard looks so beautiful.
I believe these are my two favorite pics of sanity. It’s hard to get a good picture of sanity too, yes? For it changes so often. It bet it feels good over there.
And the shadow thoughts…something to consider. How big is my shadow? How in or out of proportion is it?
We’re in the 80’s for the next days.

I love all your words and questions here…it’s hard to get a good picture of sanity, oh ha!
80s here now. Eek, what a swing!

Just because you are here… Yes. And thank you.
Sanity seems quiet, yet with a whole lot to say. I think my shadow might be bigger than me too.

    O sanity — deep sigh
I’ve heard the difinition of insanity ( doing you the same thing and hoping for different outcome ) .
That’s how I realize which state of mind I am in .
    Too much philosophy

“The shadow of Sanity is bigger than Sanity itself” – yes!! I am going to ponder that as I go about my day. We’re having wind, rain, sunshine, then snow in the forecast for the next couple of days. The weeds are starting to take over but it’s hard to work outside. I’m approaching the dandelions much differently after your post about them. Thanks, Jude, and have a good day!

Today, we crossed the line toward hot. Still a lot of rain around. The green has already outpaced me. Lots of green food tho.

  6. Sanity probably smells wonderful now. I mom used to always smell the cats when they came inside from windy days saying, you smell just like laundry off the line. A good memory. 😺

Talking one’s feelings out (or writing them down!) crystalizes your thoughts, makes them tangible, easier to grasp. Beautiful stitching, as ever.
My Crow, Sweet Crow, has returned after his hiatus. I’ve missed him.

    Love all of it!
The crows, the light & shadow blowing in the wind.
The idea of sanity, what is sanity?
Aren’t we all insane @ this moment in time!
