I had the intention of filling in the basket stitching, with a warmer ring, but there was an aha moment which I wished I had caught live, the moment I say "oh!". aha
I am using this piece to work through a few things. Staying with it and watching how it changes with the days. It doesn't really matter what it becomes, because it is becoming something. And the form will hold the process. StoryCloth.

Your process is so interesting to watch and feel as you go….❤️
It helps me feel
Wow — It’s coming to life
that’s what happens!
“Pulsing circle” is right. At the moment if feels like a mandala to me.
I think it will be useful as that
When I clicked on the view of the whole cloth (to the right side of screen) and opened it in its separate window…those lil triangles, as they are looked like music to me, the thin, drawn lines the staff. It truly sings Jude.
I did see ( hear) music too!
This is really beautiful, with a warm glow reaching up from the background . . . I think that the new area you are working on is adding even more richness & life! I just read your definition of StoryCloth (I’m new) and it really resonates with me. I’ve worked this way with other materials, but not so much with stitching or weaving . . . I’m going to start a “free” piece & see what happens! Thanks again, Jude, for all that you share with us! I hope you have a lovely day.
yes, what happens will bring new form…
Yes. I felt the oh!
I Love “oh!”
I have a lot of rusts and orange in my house, it’s a potent color for me. Love the moment of orange and pink on the top just left of center. 🙂
the color here is from so many layered thoughts, it is surprising.
I like surprises when I’m painting, most of the time.
Soft tangerine does it. Splash!!!
color is feeling, right?
Looking forward to what radiates out from that pulsing circle.
Me too.
I find zooming in on a photo to be able to see something better (or to be able to read something!) really helpful…I’ve been taking more screen shots too. I like the warmth of the oranges and blues.
Ha, yeah, read something, exactly…🙃
Yes the inward pointing orange triangles work well to continue the sun motif. What I’m really loving this morning though is that faint akimbo square. The spinning as you call it. Just adds so much subtlety and movement.
Yes, there was a sudden recentering .
The soft dyeing will continue when the vat wakes up. Gonna be 60 today!
I am learning, slowly, to stop worrying about what a piece is going to be and just trust in the idea that it will become something. And also, even if it doesn’t become something right now, there was joy in the beginning and in the process of doing. Thank you for sharing.
The worry free zone is healthier…🙃
Watching this Becoming…as it light strengthens and form gets more visible…wow! It’s like watching magic happening in real time…
imagine if we could watch a star forming.
