Feel Free

looser

Just yesterday,  a moody day,  sitting with scrap,  wondering.

Suddenly thinking about how the smaller I let myself become, in the scheme of things, the freer I might  feel.

place to land

space to fly

  1. Oh, the magic by which, with a few scraps of cloth & a few stitched, you conjure up this marvelous butterfly!!! And Psyche means both soul & butterfly….. Many lessons for me here. Thank you!

Ah, this is grand! Even mirroring how wings can become a little tattered as summer goes on. The butterflies manage to keep on going though. I know in the past Grace talked about flannel boards. The ability to move components about to tell story. This loose pinning is reminding me of that.

yes, normally I just press them and they stay a while, long enough to consider, and then fall down and become cat toys. I want them to stay a little longer. Time to reconsider.

Good morning, I’m feeling a little moody myself, maybe a little more than a little. I don’t understand the getting smaller though. I’ll have to think more on that one but my first thought is…
I might disappear altogether if I get any smaller…
    I do love your butterfly!

Oh this little lovely made me smile! I wonder if making oneself larger (which I feel the need to do) can be as freeing or even, if it’s all that different from making oneself smaller. Babbling.

Oh! Beautiful Ladye Butterfly on the wing! The grand beauty of the Natural World, while it can make one feel small, still enlarges our vision and invites us in to be a part of a very Grand Thing!

Never saw you do a butterfly before. So whimsical & light!
Beautiful selection of colors, texture, transparency.
The pattern in this pinned cloth floating on the support so free & loose, delightful!
