Wondering about how form holds change. Even though it seems so still. How we focus on the constant rather than what frames it.

Maybe it is related to the need to be held. To hold.

Or. The illusion that it is possible.

floating green hearts is what I saw this morning.

The trees made a blanket while I was watching. From scraps of self.

We had to cut the redbud in early summer to allow access to a repair truck.  It sprouted again, and here, the last green hanging on... seems to sing I am still here.   I will tend to her.  Below freezing this morning but warming has begun again.

  1. Jude, those green roots; well, I’m a plant and tree person, and I felt those, I can relate to those. That is one way I know you and I and most of us here are similar in our love of nature. I bet those roots would hold you and sustain you in many ways.

Just to let you know that I have followed you now for several/a few? years and continue to enjoy your thought-provoking words, the seasonal photos and our common thread – creative stitching. Thank you for the effort you put into these posts. I’m sure you have many silent readers. You are part of our life.

Those redbuds are sturdy trees and very persistent. I have a smallish one (maybe 12 feet tall) in my yard and there must be several hundred seed pods hanging on it ready to fall and take root.

it is hard to imagine stillness not being possible. I like the challenge.

I love that picture, those green hearts out there in the freezing cold.

Framing…I like to think it stems from the need to hold, but I am inclined to believe it’s sometimes a need to own, to control. I like the floating…light and airy.
I’m glad you are taking care of the redbud. Such a beautiful announcement of Spring!
