Days

Rain.  Just constant rain since I last posted.

Woke up this morning. Rain. Just that sound, rain. Sun's up but you can hardly tell.  Rain all day today, tonight and most of tomorrow.  No wind though, just a slow nagging rain.  And pain, the arthritis kind.  Time for tumeric tea.

you know I like this section

one at a time, actually two, they belong together

But.  With the focus on dark and light, night and day, this cloth I call Grow has filled the need for a little Equinox cloth.  I am about halfway around.  It's a big circle.  Even with the variations, there is a rhythm to it. Dark and light are dancing... maybe I can be held by that for a while.  Like cricket song.  Let it rock me.

This is an old loose page from the Real Journal.  It was posted on the old blog and I found it in a pile of loose stuff.   I like it.  Rainy days are good for stitching and sorting through loose thoughts.

sorry for your arthritis pain. I remind self to think of it as my body working through big stuff, rather than settling into decline.

Love this sketch. Do you see the little bear there in the left hand lower corner. He’s standing with his nose up against the puddle looking up. So cute.

Black and white added to cloth always feels like a magic touch to me!
Ginger handbaths are supposed to help. With some cayenne in it if preferred.
    Getting ready to try myself.
    Wishing you relief

Here in MN too.. the September Rains.. Heavy spurts mostly at night, then drizzly, then a bit of brightness.. I just prepare to dash outside between the drops to do errands, and otherwise nestle in with projects. Soon I will be heading back to being a desert rat.. although I have seen predictions of a cold winter there this year. I may have to bring my propane heater! It is hard with arthritis in my back to wake to freezing temps!

  5. To share…yes. It’s like someone hit a switch around here, fall came in stormy and poof any sense of summer was gone. I love turmeric tea. It makes my tummy happy. 🙂

The Real Journal. Love your illustration of catching the rain…how you catch your thought!
Grow is amazing like a lens bringing something into focus.
