always

This one is always mixed up and changing.  Like me. Like soup.  But then so much the same like the Moon.

The small woven strip I call waves was just added and I know that weave will once again become a bigger part of my cloths this year.  It's always been there, even in just choosing cloth. I am truly a weaver by nature. Even with words.  Stitcher Self is woven through. Basket self is woven round and round.  I stand knowing myself better today.  And a path is opening.

Rusty moon by Glennis,  Japanese Ikat from Richard. (see resource page)  Old patterned silk scrap from Grandma's kimono.  Some cloth is like clay. And so am I.

  2. Love how the Ikat kinda peeks, and that moon! Gorgeous. Will watch where weaving takes you. I’m almost ready to warp the little loom again.
Your response to Janet Wright made me think ‘cry me a river’…it’s been a year for that.

Happy St Patrick’s Day . An Irish blessing for you – May the road rise up to meet you , may the wind be always on your back May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall soft on your fields and (until we meet again) may God hold you in the palm of his hands .
Thank you for all your wonderful inspiration, you are so kind to share your gifts with us all, Jude , Greetings from Ireland . Maura

The colors and shapes in this piece are heartbreakingly beautiful. They somehow reconcile me with time passing. I want to see more of your weaving!

The waxing crescent will soon rise, having traveled from your neck of the woods to my Hill Country home … I will watch as it traces the arc of sky outside my stitching chair window, then continues on to beyond

The moon with its added surface piece for some reason reminds me of 1920s children’s illustrations.

What vdbolyard said … shards into wonder!

  7. Thank you for being here for us ( me). For the first time both my husband and I have experienced depression—-but the thought that CLOTH is a constant has been a life-saver. Saved my sanity. Blessings to you.
