This one is always mixed up and changing. Like me. Like soup. But then so much the same like the Moon.
The small woven strip I call waves was just added and I know that weave will once again become a bigger part of my cloths this year. It's always been there, even in just choosing cloth. I am truly a weaver by nature. Even with words. Stitcher Self is woven through. Basket self is woven round and round. I stand knowing myself better today. And a path is opening.
Rusty moon by Glennis, Japanese Ikat from Richard. (see resource page) Old patterned silk scrap from Grandma's kimono. Some cloth is like clay. And so am I.

All the pieces coming together, even if just for a moment…
which is very often the point
Love how the Ikat kinda peeks, and that moon! Gorgeous. Will watch where weaving takes you. I’m almost ready to warp the little loom again.
Your response to Janet Wright made me think ‘cry me a river’…it’s been a year for that.
It’s been a while, gotta get into a big box still unopened from the move.
Cry me a River, perfect….
this is spectacular.
And those are the blues I like
Love the addition of the woven waves and grandmas silk kimono silk piece gently cradling the moon
That kimono was beautiful. I wore it out.
Happy St Patrick’s Day . An Irish blessing for you – May the road rise up to meet you , may the wind be always on your back May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall soft on your fields and (until we meet again) may God hold you in the palm of his hands .
Thank you for all your wonderful inspiration, you are so kind to share your gifts with us all, Jude , Greetings from Ireland . Maura
Hey thanks! I’m 1/3 Irish!
The moon, making waves, ebb and flow
(kimono-moon 🙂 )
That pull of the moon, how to express that.
Flowing with the moon and waves now…lovely….
And I do miss the sea.
I love the shape of you and your world.
A little bit like puddle sometimes.
Puddles are fun! You can jump in them and sit quietly and watch reflections of the clouds float by. Sounds good to me!
I like your positivity!
just beautiful.
😎
lovely , tender piece of weaving…
I love to weave…
pieces of peace assembling contentedly. Love.
Feels like peace, yes.
the weaving is just so fine. is it linen? did u dye it yourself? i see a horse-like beast, floating.
It is woven with a handyed cotton/silk on a cotton warp.
The colors and shapes in this piece are heartbreakingly beautiful. They somehow reconcile me with time passing. I want to see more of your weaving!
GORGEOUS. Sigh <3
it’s always hanging around lately, I move it from room to room., maybe it will end up outside.
“The Moon is my clock. TimeKeeper.”
The waxing crescent will soon rise, having traveled from your neck of the woods to my Hill Country home … I will watch as it traces the arc of sky outside my stitching chair window, then continues on to beyond
it is always there for us to understand path
The moon with its added surface piece for some reason reminds me of 1920s children’s illustrations.
What vdbolyard said … shards into wonder!
I agree it seems familar.
Thank you for being here for us ( me). For the first time both my husband and I have experienced depression—-but the thought that CLOTH is a constant has been a life-saver. Saved my sanity. Blessings to you.
my “low-ness” has turned into a river…
Oh (((Jude))) love the way the kimono silk hugs the moon’s fullness dancing with the woven waves
it really works there doesn’t it?
Love your additions of weaving! I’ve been wanting to give it a try for awhile now …. always working on something else and wanting to do more! 💙💙💙👍🏻 Happy St. Patrick’s Day☘️ Jude!
I am so far from where I imagined I would be with weaving, but there may still be enough time…
how is it that even in birthing a new cloth you reassemble shards for story? full of wonder
it’s a puzzle, ha…
Pieces of one’s self….
and the puzzle always beckoning
