The geese are back.
They seem to be nesting here.
That's the west edge of this property, the stone wall. The big farm where I get my eggs and stuff is on the other side. A fresh cut on the meadow.
The Ramps ( wild garlic) are up.
I unrolled the cloth I call Balancing Act. In my mind I have returned to Large Cloth. I just need a little time. I'll unroll all of them first.

Love the stone wall and the rocks by the pond’s edge! Is what appears to be a metal form of some kind on the rocks intended to support a burning log to keep bugs away for evenings sitting on the big rock enjoying the pond?
That’s a chair that almost blew into the lake. I went down to move it but I didn’t want to disturb the geese.
Hi Jude. This is just the most beautiful peaceful photo. You.’ve captured the essence of this place and this moment. I could look at this all day long!………(I think I will do just that!)
Thank you for all the years of sharing.
Valerie (California girl but now 40 years in France)
France might be better idea right now.
Love that your geese nest there. Ours just rest here for a couple weeks on their way north. I always look forward to seeing them.
They seem reminders of something.
I love that the geese are nesting on your little pond. I have a pair of phoebes that come back every year to nest on the house. Last year, for the first time, they nested just outside the back door. It was less than convenient, but very safe for them. They just fixed up the old nest, so here we go again! 😁
I had phoebe doing that in Putnam Valley. I hear them outside the house but haven’t found the nest yet.
Can’t wait to see them all!
😊
Jude~ I always feel so lucky when I see geese. There is a golf course or two here in town and they are usually headed that way to the ponds.
Love the colors of this large cloth, so Jude from my early days here 🙂
I l8ve them. Nice that they feel at home here.
This developed without too much thinking. It’s comforting to be unrolling all the history.
You can eat your fill of bear leek ! (and it makes such a nice pesto)
Yes, great pesto!
I hope the geese are successful. Often there is nest predation here and it’s a little heartbreaking. I’m starting to look at my small puzzle pieces pinned together and am surprised at the bigger-ness of them. I’m a ways from large though (maybe at 30×30″) Leaves me in awe of how many large you have managed.
I’m kinda a surprised myself.
Love the circle gathering there.
Comforting
“Balancing Act,” so appropriate right now… Glad you are seeing signs of spring. 🙂
Yes, it fits to the time..
Spring is coming on fast…
Jude I cannot express how much you continue to inspire me ( and probably so very many of us in this community of like -minded women)thank you so much for threading us together .. x
We gotta keep on…!❤️
Nice have the geese there! and love seeing your large cloth again 💙
Beautiful cloth and Pond, Jude! And the Stone wall, of course!
The Canadian Geese, here, fly over our house nearly every morning, from the Lake to the spring-fed Pond.
And I remain grateful.
I love hearing them.
This is a spring fed pond, I might have it deepened a bit.
They weren’t nesting here last year.
I have more large cloths than I remember
