I’m aimless, too. Still trying to figure out who I am, now.
I like all the notes on the box!
I started making some one inch squares a while ago. I recently came across the basket of them, but I need to find it again, and put them in the living room so that I can work on them again and use them.
I almost thought I had the wrong post. At the top of my email there’s a picture of Soul-O snoozing, on what looks like a round cat cubby, by the fire. Above the word ‘aimless.’ I don’t see it here.
I have a bunch of boxes for different sizes. I paste notes I jot down while working .
The pic of the cat was just in the email and the post block. The sun was shining on him.
Jude~ Love these lil squares and the sunlight streaming across the floor. They are enough.
After reading the comments, so many times “enough”…I flashed on my dad saying (well, yelling) “it’s enough already!” – which basically meant ‘knock it off’! haha Takes on a whole different meaning/feeling. As we got older, we joked about his line and his delivery for years to come. 😂
I envision you leading your ragmates into action. Yes, keeping our needles threaded to record with that which brings us joy. Those nine-patches are inspiring.
Thank you, Joanna! I love words and how they’re used and developed, so this sent me to look up ‘leor’ (I think), but I learned more than just that! (Like ‘neart’ and how ‘go leor’ became the English word ‘galore.’ It’s so fascinating to me.)
Yes! It’s like discovering you’ve already made enough bricks to make a shelter. Thank you so much for the concept of quilt math. 1″ fits into anything bigger. I even came to love the ironing part of it.
You inspire me to think about what “building blocks” I can work on in my odd moments. It is restful to have a repetitive project to do when I am exhausted in other ways. I love getting insights into your working process. Jude – thank you.
growin’ up, i remember a package of candy called “good ‘n plenty”. that’s your box of 1″ squares. you can dip into it ‘n pull out whatever your hand finds. such joy in that! as always, your post made my day… x
It would be nice if more people would realize that “enough is enough” . . .
Ha, there is a big exclamation mark to that : the yellow nine and the strip of sunshine !!!
Hello! Love the picture of the new 9 patches. The reflections of the sunlight through the window looks as though it responded to your sunny 9 patch! Love seeing the world through your camera lens!
Happpiness is contentment with what you have … enjoy!
Enough. More than that makes me tired.
Beauty in your words and images.
Yes, exhausting

I really love one-inch squares. I need to make more! They are especially fun when I don’t think about the end product ie, the nine patch.
Yes, having them on hand is like medicine… 9 a day is my soothing dose

My dad too!
Maybe lots of dads! Mine, too.
Ha!
And my Dad shouted it in Welsh 😆
Ha!

Hey ho!!!
In the Irish language the word ‘enough’ is the same word as ‘plenty’.
Holds true for all of our life situations including one inch squares.
❤️
Joanna~ Ooh, love this. Thank you.
Perfect

Very satisfying. More to say…

Simple is on my mind.

I remember that .
Enough is all we need, a very important word.
We are trained to think we need more.
Yes, we are…something for us all to keep working on and paying attention to. 🙂
Agreed!
I had enough for today AND the next 20 years… enjoying the sunshine and sanctuary of the forest, far away from the chaos. Peace 🧡
We should all run to the forest while we still can…
Sounds like a lovely Sunday.
Enjoy what is enough-plenty.
❤️

Yeah, then there would be enough to go around.
There is lightness today.
❤️
You have beautiful puzzle pieces! 🧩
😁👍🏻
It’s nice that they each have a story.

I am at peace here in this small world.
Your not be patches calm me down & inspire me ..The colors, the patterns, the simplicity, thank you Jude.💕
a great tool really, and I need to make more.
Nine patch..not “not be”😵💫 ☺️
I figured!😂
Those tiny yellow squares the color of ruffled daffodils. Tiny joys.
Oh, yes, thank you for that!
Enough is what everyone needs in their life. Everything else is frosting, nice, but still frosting.
That becomes clearer and clearer.
I look forward to your little daily Vignettes. Thank you.
thanks for saying…
Enough is enough! Puzzle on, Jude~🪡🤗
