All Because of a Kindness

I keep this Turkish tea glass and a folded index card by the sink.  Big spiders come.  I trap them with a glass and slide the stiff paper underneath.  Put them outside.

This morning the sink was wet.  And the index card has a graph paper design on one side.  Some of the pattern came through where the water soaked in. I loved it.

the safety net appears

I penciled in the bleed marks.  Just to catch the effect of the sudden transparency, probably because it has been on my mind.

Then I went to find the stencil I use to dye the peace symbols.  Noticing again it's transparency.

Nine for Peace from last year... mended because it wasn't perfect.  Now, suddenly, what if? Bigger. With transparency.  Transparency might be necessary for peace.  At least the kind I imagine.

Please note, a lot has changed since Typepad shut down,  a lot of changes will need to be made here and access to some stuff has been suspended, some links may not work.   It'll be ok.  I will try to get a Forever Zone newsletter out by the weekend.  Construction work should be done this week and some sanity should return.

Hang in there — construction will eventually end and peace will reign again.
I keep my spider glass in the bathroom; November is the start of wolf spider season here and many mornings I find one trapped in the sink or bathtub.

Jude~ Spiders I can deal with, but the 1.5 in. beetle of some sort – which was super fast! J. put that one out. We have a “vintage” tupperware cup for that purpose 😂
How did I miss the dyed peace symbol? Love it!

how transparency allows us to see what was there all along… on the other side. a reminder that just because we can’t see something doesn’t mean it’s not present. nice to know the “design mending” of your home will soon be complete (for now). wondering how the changes in your space will impact your creations… x

If you have spiders inside it is because they have something to eat that is inside. I just let them be. Hornets have to be put out.

smallish glass and stiff paper for the rather large wolf spiders or equally huge wood beetles. Oddly, the spiders don’t bother me but the wood beetles make an odd clicky sound and they fly…ewww. Hold tight Jude, sanity of a sort is on the horizon for you.

Love the transparency with your morning spider catch and release! 🕷️that’s my method too with spiders and little lizards. 🦎
    Happy Super Harvest Moon!

I love the graph paper showing through, looks like running stitches on a Dot.
Sounds like your home is going to be lovely with the new renovations. It’s such a disruption but then when it’s over, poof, loveliness! I love seeing photos of your home, it’s so unique! Thank you for sharing your life with us.
