Of the earth and of the universe, made of rainbows surrounding a golden globe held up to the sky, home to the black bird of mystery. Quite a celebration!
Hello Jude
I am looking at your piece ALmost. It is intriguing.
I am wondering about the spots of the page where it appears that you have removed dye from the original fabric. In the black fabric, you have created orange spots and in the green, the spots are blue.
I am not a dyer and I don’t know what product is used or how it is done to extract the original colour.
I wonder if you would share this technique or point me in a direction where I could read about it. Thank you. I appreciate all that you share about your journey and your work. I find it a place of calm in this troubled time.
Good morning Jude 🌻
Your latest piece of stitching feels light and carefree. All the colours are really beautiful and all the spots are floating around.
I love it 🫶🌸
Funny how the lyrical composition of this moon tree feels like a movement of “reaching..” The piece touches me…and the dangling roots tell me they need to reach and connect, too
Very beautifully evocative of this period in our lives, both politically and, for many of us, of being elders. The subtle colours and patterns are exquisite to my eyes and speak to my spirit.
Good morning Jude,
Today is my 78th run around the sun /moon.
In honor you cloth painting, I would like to piece a 6×6 block and using, if I may, your pieced moon tree. It will go into my cloth of comfort quilt. I’m piecing monthly blocks along with K3n “Kathryn Chambers” in fact it was K3n that mentioned you in one of her YouTube videos invisible basting has been my path to you 😁
I’ve purchased several of your cloth crumbs and now if I may copy this one.
Blessings and much admiration to your pieced moon tree.

I did not extract anything, I did some indigo resist dyeing over an old print. I will be talking more about that soon.
Looks happy!
Great

Caught in a rainbow! 🙋🌳🌈
rainbow is my symbol for expanding vision

trying to lighten up
This is beautiful!
I like how it formed
It is almost everything. 🌖
we never quite get there.
Reaching.
maybe reach is a circle game
almost… on the verge… the cusp (“a point of transition between 2 different states”) … x
and here comes the equinox
I like the opposing dark corners of the universe.
I have more to say about those corners.
I really like how this one has manifested.
it was swirling in my head…finally caught up with it
Love it……might it be available for adoption???
not sure yet
Beautiful 💙💙💙
striving for a little peace
💛🧡❤️💜💚
a full spectrum is always good
So much to love… so many dreams.
dreaming away here…❤️✌️
I get the feeling that this tree is sending love into the universe. And I see a smiling face in the trunk. Very peaceful. By by
sending a message of how many kinds of love can be
Roots run deep…
good thing. drought, so many kinds
Lovely
A reaching up, suggesting Hope in Change…and the Roots reaching down, taking hold, anchoring, suggesting stability.
Almost?
so much holding and hoping going on. who knows?
maybe all images can be lovely, in a way… if we use them to lean from

I like the sense of reaching as growth.
…the saddest word in whole world….
The word ‘almost’ is the saddest in the whole world? Why?
To me it is optimistic, anticipatory.
He was almost in love.
She was almost good for him.
He almost stopped her.
She almost waited.
He almost lived.
They almost made it.
It’s a poetry reference…Nikita Gill, I think…. But don’t quote me on that! Ha!
but then, it is a matter of perspective, right? These days, more than ever, I need new eyes
