The road in.
I tried my best to cut it back a bit, enough to fit through the brush, will wait till the grasses start to die back before any cutting. Check the terrain for any obstacles. Stumps, rocks. Didn't really get to it, summer went so fast. The right side is basically an overgrown meadow. Used to be a sheep farm. Hoping to get it cleared, mowed, and then actually see what's growing there, manage it a bit. Sheep? Ha! I'm such a dreamer.
The goldenrod has begun to bloom. I'm going to need some gravel, the muddy holes are a bit much to handle. Worse than they look.

I'm getting used to the fact that there is a tree in the center of this round( octagon) house.
Today I am mending my jeans. Again. Truth is, the clothwoven patches aways seem to wear the best.
It always takes time to know whether you guessed right.
Your jeans make me think of sashiko’s origins. Do you ever include figures or geometric patterns when you’re adding patches or reinforcing an area? It would be fun to see one of the cats guarding a newly added piece, or perhaps a moon smiling from a corner.

I’m in need of gravel, too. I’ve got a drainage issue and a bit of my driveway is washing away… oy. That beast seems strong, upright and sturdy. Summer is definitely going fast.
Yeah, I need some grading as well. When it rains it’s awful. We’ll see.
