There are people in the house.
Installing a mini split heat system. It's not easy drilling through these walls. It's a clean energy system and I feel good about that. I want to feel good about any work that gets done here.
I, not being much of a people or a noise person, I am trying to keep the peace in my mind. Soul-o is hiding upstairs in the closet. A new wishing star cabin happened. Like they do.
I tried a lot of things here, maybe too many. I'll talk soon. I'll call this one...

My son has a garden and he is close enough to share.

I had a zucchini that the top was yellow that faced the sky and the bottom close to the ground was green. Two toned, It tasted okay.

Hi Jude, it’s been a heat wave in Nova Scotia these past few weeks, it feels longer. Even at our cabin one (I) can’t be outside, no breeze, it’s oppressive and not healthy. Our golden and I have an early morning swim and then it’s doors and windows closed, fans on. Even the heat pump can barely keep up. The lake is much warmer than usual which is lovely for swimming but it’s alarming that such a huge body of water is so much warmer than usual. Now a province wide ban on being in the woods until October due to the draught and of course there’s an individual channeling it in the courts even as a small fire near the city is out of control. And Putin on US soil, not good. What next. On the brighter side your piece is delightful. Enjoy your heat pump Jude.
Things are so out of balance, sometimes it seems a little making is just an attempt at not falling over.
Hope the mini-split works well for you. I’m waiting for one, which may or may not happen, as I think I told you before as it depends on whether the moron in charge is involved. Things HAVE calmed down here finally, sending peaceful, calm energy your way, too. 🙂

It’s a ductless heat exchange system, electric, clean, efficient. Highly supported in New York state.
I just made a Jamie Oliver squash and pasta that was delicious. Summer squash and zucchini, Parmesan, zest and juice of one lemon and the surprise ingredient: mint.
Sounds great, this my first try, just winging it with what’s on hand.

We have the mini split system and wood heat. They work well together. Happy you’re getting them. The wood stoves allow us to keep the mini splits’ electricity usage down, except for Jan/Feb. They’re a life saver right now in this heat wave. 2 days of noise for years of peace of mind, is a good deal I think. 😌

Jude~ Oh. Yes. The noise. Ugh. Being a townie-I gave up on quiet (way too many gardeners w/ leaf blowers etc.)…but I always Notice it and pause to be in the silent. So nice.
I love the 3-D(ness) of “No IdeaR”, especially the way the weave and fringe morph from the illustration. Just great! And a fish? I love how it just randomly swims in. Yes, a bit ‘more’ than you often do…but a good representation of how we are all having to hold so much these days. xo

We recently installed a mini split in our bedroom – it was always too hot or too cold. It’s very nice to have and I sleep better too! I have other work being done and it’s dragging on … so I understand how you feel. Hang in there!

yeah, this illustration got a bit too complex for me but I have some ideas because of it.
I had a regular heat pump back in the Valley and it was so efficient but not in the really cold weather, this one should be great. And there is a tax rebate until that gets axed in January. Trying to outrun stupid is so tiring.
Pasta with zucchini sauce I think, tonight, my basil is doing ok.
