Rained all night.
The mist was glorious as the sun rose.
I walked out to the road to put out the trash. Early. Every other week now that I have so little.
On the way back, noting the darkness of the forest now that the season has progressed. These trees will come down soon. Firewood and more light.
I found the studio light I bought years ago, and I thought wow, I should get a few more, for each room. That was old consumer self thinking. I'll put this one where I need it, when I need it. Once a little clearing is done and a few walls come down, I won't need it and I will give it to the thrift store in town.
There was enough light for a little painting.
New post in Whispering Thread/ForeverZone today...

How did you find this one of a kind house?
Those first 2 photos are gorgeous! Especially love the photo of your abode sitting in the mist. Lovely studio space. Knocking down walls for larger studio? How wonderful. Thank you for the reminder to be thrifty. 💖
just knocking down walls to open up the circle.
I love the fog with the death tree and all the living trees and plants around it. It looks a memorable place.
Love the little painting as well. You are a real surviver.
It looks after the hard winter a mirakel wath you have already done. A big applause 😄
Life gives us many opportunities if we see it that way.
Love the mist… haha, no surprise there. Sweet heart-holder.
It’s so different here in the forest, like one of your paintings.
Glad my paintings capture that! Sometimes when I’m out of the forest and about somewhere, I feel exposed because of the lack of trees.
I get that now.
The little painting is the keeper of the forest…protector of all.
We wish…
Fog gives such a soft look to the world.
Table under the skylight — perfect spot, at least in the day.
Yes, but the leaves are closing in with all the rain. It’s a jungle…
i’m totally laughin’ because this place is just TOO perfect for u. it’s SILLY good! it’s as tho’ the original poet put down his pencil in the middle of a line ‘n years passed until u came along ‘n began writing with it. your photography is poetry. thanx for the walk out to the road ‘n the chat up in your loft. absolutely dreamy… x
I’m laughing with you.
In this pic with the forest behind and this particular light….your home looks like a word -picture straight out of Grimms fairy tales…much magic emanating.
Maybe I’ve become an elf…🙃
You’re bringing your own magic to an already magical place…
Your carbon footprint is barely there…but your personal touch will remain..
I’m trying not to disturb it too much.
Jude~ Oh gosh…is this place truly real??!! Amazing images today.
The light looks very useful for my old eyes. I too don’t spend on stuff very often, but man I could use som decent lighting. One sliding door just doesn’t do it. haha
Well I could send it to you u when I’m done with it…
Oh ha. (((hugs)))
An absolute fairyland.
I have relatives in the Finger Lakes region. If I may ask, are you anywhere near there?
About 125 miles northwest I would say. 3 hour drive…
Love the fog.. like the entire property is giving you a hug!
Love the way the house has nooks and crannys.
I call them large cubby holes. Things out of the way where they can live.
I am learning to stay home… it is an adjustment. Do you ever get stir crazy?
As usual you inspire us!
Yes I do. My habit of straying , wandering, even in my mind, helps.
So beautiful! Consumer thinking is definitely a thing. 🙂
Trying to break bad habits.
Everything is vivid green there!💚
Love your self hug!
I hope you got to use your new cup this morning 🌞
💙✌🏼
It’s perfect!
💗
Such an intriguing house! And in such a magical setting.
The fern dale is too lovely for words.
It’s amazing.
