Just Being as just going.
And the sun comes out.
I took a large cloth outside, the one I call Grow. It's been hanging over a section of wall to keep the cold air out, since I moved in. There is a heat dome on the way. Not needed anymore. It hasn't been outside here. To continue, a little Open Air Ritual.
I need to set up a clothesline. And I need to remember to walk lightly. There are so many frogs and toads, they are hard to see.

She’s good at hiding. Smart.
We can learn…
I left you a message on Instagram messanger
I looked, no message there.
I am reminded when I see your photos of toads of when our young family would visit my husband’s aunt and uncle’s home here in our town. It was located north of the river with loamy soil. It was a perfect garden yard. Full of toads which sometimes rode home with us in our daughter’s overall bib pocket unbeknownst to us the parents! Only to be discovered when reading her writing in later years about the habit of ferrying toads across our town to our home! I think they joined the toads and frogs in our yard. We didn’t have the rich loamy soil though. Mostly clay filled “builders” fill from when soil was hauled in to even out the dirt levels in a new build.
The land is rich and soggy here, we had tree frogs in my previous homes but this is just amazing. Thank you for your story!
We saw a toad while walking in Walden Woods a couple weeks back and it was a deal cuz we never see them anymore. Growing up I remember them being everywhere. We also saw a garter snake. Same thing with sightings then vs now. You could tie lines for cloth between a few trees!
Many snakes here too, I love walking, it6 like a zoo. Yes, between trees but I need some open space so there isn’t too much bird shit. 😂
Ah! Forgot about bird shit.
You have sun! And we have rain forecast 🥳. Our manifesting across the ocean obviously worked 😁. Bee beautiful even in death and the frog/toad has a face on it’s back 👀
Yes, I see that face…
Yes, do all the things, Jude.
But especially the clothes line. 💕
Got the line, looking for a place
This cloth holds so much life and energy! Beautiful
I really want to work on it during growing season…
Toad?
Maybe, I don’t really know the difference, there are so many kinds here.
After researching, yes, toad. Ha!
And thanks, I learned more today…that all toads are a type of frog.
So you’ll get to see how the house deals with the heat, I’m curious if it will be cool inside. I have to watch out for toads, and orange efts, though the efts are easier to see with their deglo color scheme. Good luck in the heat and wonder if you’re getting major thunderstorm warnings, too.
Oh, I have the orange efts too!
The previous owner says the house stays cool. Big storm warnings yes! I hear distant thunder.
Perfect little bee
Grow looks so happy there.
Perhaps that’s what “walk lightly on the earth means” — watch out for the frogs. Some years my son has a toad invasion. He brought me buckets full but they never stay even though I create toad houses for them. Not meant to be I guess.
I guess this is frog heaven…
I like anywhere that frogs like to be.
Yeah, I get it…
Yes, the green. I moved from Southern California to Oregon because I had to have green around me. Beautiful.
Sorry little bee but thank you for doing your job.
Toads, frogs, croakers. Love them all. Wish we had more here.
So much wildlife to discover here
Ooooh Jude…the green…
Your pictures..subliem!
it’s beautiful here. glowing.
Jude~ I love “grow” so, so much. 💕 The ritual of airing…ahhh.
We’ve been watching the evolution (?perhaps) of a mummified toad at the bridge…and the interaction of the ants with said toad. Lifecycles.
Enjoy your green 🙂
yes, lifeforms, lifecycles.
Happy in the green today, although the wind is picking up and I hear thunder in the distance.
amazing…all of it…the grow, the green and the living things. such a wonderful place.
Yes, it’s the wildest place I have ever called home. I have only just begun to explore. So much untouched forest behind the house.
Yay! 💚🌞🐸
💚
🙏 We all need to tread lightly, ah.
Yes, things are hard to see.
I found a bumble like that last year.
Green, Grow, sunlight and frogs
Beautiful!
It almost looked fake.
So good to see Grow again! Especially in its new environment.
It’s been dormant too long.
a clothesline…..sheets in the breeze
I’ve been missing that.
Would you mind stuffing a few wayward frogs into a box, sending them here?
I know toads are out there…all down by the slough…but I want them for my Gardens!!
It is so wet here after all this rain, it’s hysterical when I go walking, the ground is alive!
No Rain! Enjoy..
It’s coming, but I’m not gonna worry…😀
